Trials For Eternal Glory (1)
Anyone dealing with discouragement might ask: will this ever end? Fix your eyes on what is unseen for what is unseen lasts forever achieving for us an eternal glory!
When a call from your child’s kindergarten awakes you from monotony and tells you: "your little girl is not feeling well, and we called the ambulance" all your dreams (buzzle.com/articles/dreams/) falls to the ground when you find out about a brain tumor they discovered. The doctor tells you that she was unconscious for a while, and will do their best to find the graveness of the problem.
This moment can be extremely agitated and you need to run from places to places to find persons you know to ask help, consult other doctors. After running all day long for a hand and feeling tired asking here and there, receiving no help from people, you just crush and …cry … cry to God.
Where is God in moments like these? Now you and I feel sorry for those precious moments when the child was bagging you to lay down and play with her…but you and I did not have time for these "precious moments" you were too busy gathering up anything but relations with your kids, the precious gifts from God and our treasures. This is a test, but a difficult one; here we do not depend on people anymore because they cannot do more than a surgery, they cannot bring healing. Here we stay and wait upon the Lord to work in His way.
Dear Lord help us come and reveal your marvelous plan to us in times like these!
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:1,17,18
How to react in difficult moments?
To "lose heart" in Greek means "to act badly", "to give up" or "grow weary". When we are prepared on facing difficulties: we won’t act badly, we won’t give up, we will not grow weary!
For our "light troubles" are not worthy to sit beside the eternal glory. If God said so, that is true! Imagine what a glory!!! However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him" (1 Corinthians 2:9)
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal"
How to fix our eyes on what is eternal?
Many times, trials do make us look up. This way, the eternal perspective comes closer. Knock boldly on God’s compassion door because our God is eternal, in His infinite realm He is not powerless or careless."For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD" (Jeremiah 29:11-14) Certainty He cares, He knows and can do anything for us when we ask for His intervention. What if the answer is delayed?
Is this so important not giving up beating on God’s merciful door?
"Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:1, 6-8
