Figure of Eight Knots
This knot is used as a stopper knot. The other name for this knot is flemish knot. This knot requires many ropes and is a bit difficult to tie, but stronger than other knots. If compared to overhand knot, this knot is much reliable and does not damage the rope.

Blake Hitch Knot
This knot makes climbing on the tree easier for humans. It can be used instead of taut line hitch. It has a perfect grip and does not even roll. It makes descending all the more faster by releasing the drags along with slightly pulling down from the top.

Double Fisherman's Knot
This name, double fisherman has been given to this knot because of its use. This knot is generally used by fishermen for joining two fishing lines. Its best role has been seen when used as an end knot in split tail climbing system.

Prusik Knot
This knot got its name from the inventor - Dr. Karl Prusik. This knot makes the climbing process much easier for climbers. During rescue operations, this knot can be used for tying pulley block to pull the rescuer up.

Klemheist Knot
Klemheist knots are very similar to prusik knot. But it is comparatively easier to tie and untie these knots. This knot becomes tight on the rope when the weight increases and moves freely when the weight is reduced.

Clove Hitch Knot
Arborist used this knot to send equipment on the top of the tree. This knot is easy to tie as well as untie. But this knot has a demerit; it slips and loosens. So, it should be avoided as a lone anchors and it should not be used in split tail climbing system.
