In several cities around the world have adopted sister cities in other parts of the world, in order to promote better understanding, among other things, between these two cities and their peoples. Sister city 'movement began at the end of World War II and was encouraged America.

Participating cities aims to develop friendly relations and strengthen ties between their chosen sister cities (in some cities, there are several sister), as well as promoting peace and understanding among peoples. This is done in a number of ways - promoting business and economic relations through trade and technology, promotion of cultural and creative networks, developing partnerships between cities and countries, and provide an opportunity for the sister-city citizens experience other cultures through travel.

A trip to your sister city may be something to do, and it can be done at relatively low cost, if you will be able to participate in exchange programs.
