Travelers Increase This Holiday Season Says AAA
What will you be doing this Christmas?
People who would be celebrating Christmas have various ways of doing so. Some would choose to spend their time with their friends or family or loved ones whom they have not seen for months. Some would rather stay at home and enjoy the thought of doing anything they choose to without having to worry about getting to work the following morning. There are also those people who would choose to rather take out their stuff and go on a travel to some place with people closest to their hearts.
And with this, the American Automobile Association, or the AAA, has come to estimate that this Christmas season, there would be even more Americans choosing to do some traveling. In fact, they did state that the number this year would indeed exceed all other statistics before. Some 64.9 million Americans are estimated to do some traveling fifty miles and even more from their homes. This is a huge 2.2 per cent increase from the number of travelers last year.
The AAA also did say, "Because hotel rates, air fares and gas prices have risen only slightly from this time last year, Americans will not hold back when making travel arrangements this holiday season. This Christmas and New Year's holiday we will see a healthy growth in travelers, following relatively flat travel seasons earlier in the year."
And when it comes to traveling by land, the AAA estimates that there would be around 52.6 million who would be choosing this option. After all, there are lower gas prices. The average gallon at present is some $2.29 and is much cheaper than the skyrocketing costs a couple of months back.
If you belong to the group who have chosen to travel this Christmas with your land vehicle, then perhaps you may also want to try doing some check ups as early as possible so as to lessen the chances of you meeting vehicle troubles along the way. In fact, if you do need to replace a couple Ford car parts, then today is perhaps the best time to do so.
