Transformed - 8. Embarrassing Moment

I'm running out ideas, what to write next!!! Please help me!
"WHAT!" I yelled loudly. Mom flinched. Downstairs everyone started to eavesdrop on this embarrassing conversation. Farhan, who had been lounging with his head on Mehreen's lap, sat up straight, while Rehan, who had been doing something on a laptop, stopped to listen. Aaliya who had been playing with Aqsa also became very interested in our conversation.

"Don't yell!" my mom hissed at me. "Rumana, come on. He rescued you!" Rescued me? Hello, he's the reason for my current state of vampire-ism. He stopped my beating heart. I'm just alive in a dead body. In other words I had become one of the walking dead. "Big deal, mom." I replied.
"He likes you."
"What makes you think so?" I spat at her.
"Didn't you notice? He stared at you all the time during breakfast."
Unfortunately at that time Rehan's mind went, "Sorry for your current state. Was I that obvious, sweetheart?" Although he was not sorry at all. In fact he was hoping for the worst to happen: mom asking me to marry him.
"You've got to be kidding me."
Farhan sniggered. "Did you tell your mother how much you scored last night, Rumana? Earning points with Rehan will make her happy." he said, and everyone except Rehan, who spluttered "Hey!", burst into laughter.

I hissed. Mom, oblivious to anything else, went on saying, "He's good looking and polite too. He will make a good husband, Rumana."
"What! You mean to say that me and him go together? Ew, mom you are so gross!"
"Look, Rumana he is what most girls would die for." Unfortunately I'm already dead mom. Thanks to the fortune teller Rehan.
"Look mom I'm tired now. Can we talk about this later?"
"Tired? You didn't do anything at all today. You have been playing games on that stupid mobile again."
"I just opened it mom!"
"Speaking of which, how did you get that phone? It was with Rehan, wasn't it?"
Oops. I stared at her. Mom's eyes were narrowed in suspicion.
"Aaliya gave it to me, mom."

"Oh." Mom's face wilted with disappointment. God, what was so special in Rehan that she wanted me to mate with him so badly? He was just a good looking vampire. Ok, good looking was an understatement. He was freaking sexy. Jet black hair that always fell in his golden eyes and pale skin made him look drop-dead gorgeous. But that was it. He only had killer good looks. Otherwise he was a conceited jerk who could see the future.
Mom stared at me, "You still haven't answered my question, Rumana. What do you think of him?"
"He is an arrogant moron."
"Language, Rumana!"
I shrugged. "Stop it mom, I want to sleep."
"Sleep? Now? Have you lost your mind?"
"I feel tired." I grabbed the blanket and pulled it over me, hiding myself from her. Mom sighed in defeat. "So you don't want to marry him?"
"Not for anything in the world."
Mom left the room.
Rehan became disheartened. "So you really don't like me?" he thought dejectedly.
"Don't feel bad. You are a good person." I whispered.

Everyone's mood instantly dimmed. I looked at the door through which mom had just left. I felt uneasy. Maybe I should have said yes.
