Transformation

I guess I never really considered for the consequences for my action.
Growing up authority was not a main attraction.
Why my peers always tell me to respect,
My elders I don't know. The way I see it is they make mistakes also. When,
I discovered that idea I realized I needed to take matters into my won hands,
Respect is what I deserve, and respect it's what I'll demand..
And that's what I'll get, one way or the another even if that means running away.
Or gang banging with my brothers. It felt strange at first when they put the gun into my hand.
They told me I would be changing from a boy to a man.
But I always thought being a man meant you be your own leader.
And live for you.
At least that's what everyone told me and what I found to be true.
At that moment I couldn't figure out what path to pursue.
Wise man told me the only way out is the way through...
