Trampolining is considered as an acrobatic sport and the trampoline is the basic tool in this fun game. Performing acrobats on the ground is a bit different than doing these acrobatic tricks on the trampoline. There are a lot of trampoline tricks that can be performed apart from simple jumping on the trampoline. Somersaults and other types of flips can be done on the trampoline. However, these tricks must be followed and performed with great care because they can be dangerous. It is advisable that these trampoline tricks must be performed under supervision of a trainer in a trampolining club. This is also an excellent way to exercise. Let us take a look at some of the trampoline tricks for beginners, initially, and then discuss some really advanced and cool trampoline tricks.

Trampoline Tricks Guide For Beginners

There are some easy trampoline tricks that can be performed by a beginner. The different tricks are as follows:

Trampoline Moves
Trampolining involves different trampoline moves that are decided by the landing position of the player. There are four moves which include landing on your feet (standing position), landing in a sitting position, landing on the stomach and landing on the back.

Twisting
Another trampoline trick is to twist your body when you jump. There are two types of twisted jumps, viz. 180 degree and 360 degree twisting jumps. In the 180 degree twist, when you jump, twist your body 180 degrees from the original position. Similarly, the 360 degree twist involves twisting 360 degrees from the original position.

Body Shapes in Air
Apart from keeping your body straight, when you jump in the air, different body shapes can be performed. There are three types of body shapes that can be performed, viz. piked, straddled and tucked. In the piked shape, the legs are straight and together, and the toes are held with hands. The straddled shape is very similar to that of the piked shape, the only difference is that the legs are not kept together; instead they are kept away from each other. In the tucked shape, the body is curled up with the hands on the shins.

Advanced Trampoline Tricks

Here are some of the intermediate and advanced trampoline tricks.

Somersaults
There are two types of somersaults that can be performed on the trampoline. They are the front somersault and the back somersault. In the front somersault, you have to perform a front flip in the air and land on your feet on the trampoline with your body straight. On the other hand, in the back somersault, flip the body in the backward direction and land vertically on your feet.

Somersault with a Twist
This trick involves flipping your body in air, followed by a twist. After the twist, land vertically on the trampoline. This trick requires a lot of practice and supervision at the start.

Double Somersault
In a double somersault, you need to flip your body twice in air and then land vertically back onto the trampoline.

Multiple Somersaults
Multiple flipping involves flipping (in the front direction) the body in the air two and a half times, and after flipping, twist your body. Also, back somersaults can be performed instead of front somersaults while twisting your body in the air before landing on the trampoline.

These are some of the trampoline tricks that can be learned and practiced upon. Many of these trampoline tricks are dangerous and must be implemented with utmost care. However, these are provided only for reference and must be performed with the help of a professional trainer. There are certified trampoline trainers who can help you implementing these trampoline tricks. Exercise trampolines are also available which are used to do trampoline exercises. The important thing is to enjoy trampolining to the core.
