Tragedy of Perfection

Ahh, Shakespeare.
They were at a party, Hidden by masks
Guests giggled, Drank wine from casks
They met on the dance floor, There they fell
Deeply in love, They heard angel's bells

Their families despised, Hated each other
Often fought to the death with one another
They met in secret, a kiss he borrowed
Her family called, they parted in sweet sorrow

Friends and family died
Outrage and war cries
Secret wedding by the friar
Her fake death, Situation dire

He came back, Unaware of fraud
Her death hurt, Shock and awe
Poison his lips, Death took over
She woke up, Without the clover

She cried in horror and fell by it
To touch her object of affection
When Romeo was kissed by Juliet
It was the tragedy of perfection
