Tiger Hill
Tiger Hill is renowned the world over for providing some of the most magnificent views of the sunrise over Kanchenjunga and the great Eastern Himalayan Mountains. Since the altitude of the hill is around 2590 meters (8482 feet), one can easily see the Mount Everest from here.
Batasia Loop
Batasia Loop, a railway loop situated at a distance of 5 km from the hill station, is a must see for its incredible engineering. While there, you may also visit the War Memorial, constructed in the memory of Darjeeling heroes who have died in different action since 1947. One can also have an amazing view of the snowy peak from this place.
Lloyds Botanical Garden
Lloyds Botanical Garden houses a beautiful collection of Himalayan plants, flowers, orchids etc. Another popular attraction of the garden comprises of its several green houses.
The Shrubbery
‘The Shrubbery’ is a beautiful garden, located on the Jawahar Parbat behind Raj Bhawan. The garden is the perfect place to have some amazing views of the Kanchenjunga Range and Singla Valley.
Happy Valley Tea Estate
Situated 3 km away from Darjeeling, Happy Valley Tea Estate is the nearest tea garden from the town.
Darjeeling Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway
Darjeeling Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway, the first passenger ropeway in India, is 3 km from the town.
Dhirdham Temple
Dhirdham Temple is situated near the railway station. It has been built in the same style as the Pashupatinath temple of Kathmandu.
Lebong Race Course
Lebong Race Course, the smallest racecourse of the world, is 8 km from the town. Built in 1885 as a parade ground, it has a complete lap of 480 yards only.
