Tough...Love...19

Heyo..
Aiden’s Point of View:

It’s amazing what love could do someone. It was like they were on cloud nine every single day, does that make sense at all? Josh and Jess, Jess and Josh. Sure I wanted her to feel happy, be happy, but the way she’s acting, it’s just weird. It’s like she had a flu or something. After each date she goes on with Josh, she comes home tired, exhausted, her energy drained out of her. I saw her yesterday, it wasn’t a pretty sight.

Looking at her now, face to face, she looked horrible, no worse than that, she looked hideous, straight up hideous. Her eyes were dull and sunken into her skull, her lips were dry and cracked. It looked like she lost weight or something. Every time I try and get into Josh’s head he would block me out. Like he was hiding something from me, which is weird because we never hide anything from each other. We are like butter and bread, stuck together, we’re inseparable. Right now he seemed distant, blocking me out of his head when ever he feels me looking into his head. Well, people need their privacy right?

I just have a strange feeling that Josh is hiding something from me, and that something isn’t good.
"So how are things with Jess?" I asked Josh. It was Monday and we were getting ready for school. Josh was coming with us, check the school out.
He shrugged. "Taking things slow. She’s pretty, hot even."
"Is that all?"
I couldn’t believe, at first, when he first met Jess he was heads-over-heels in love with her, now, it seemed like he doesn’t give a flaming toss about her.
"Yeah. I don’t want to bore you with the details cousin. She’s pretty and she’s amazing and she’s so different from the girls I’ve met and hooked up with."
Ah, that’s the Josh that I know.

"Seriously, you and Jess, cant get enough of her?"
"If you were me, you would know the feeling."
"Uh-huh. Listen, you’re riding with me and Leki to school today. And please take care of my car."
He laughed. "What do you mean: ‘please take care of my car.’ Of course I will, you know I do."
I laughed. "Dude, seriously. The last time I let you drive you almost killed us."
"Yeah, the good times. Is everybody ready? I told Jess I was going to meet her in eight-forty-five."
I rolled my eyes. "She can wait. I wonder if she’s sick, got the flu I mean."
He shrugged. "It probably has something to do with her phasing."
"You’re probably right, I just hope she gets better."
"Yeah, me too."
"Leki, come on we need to get out of here! Aria you ready to go!" I called upstairs.
Footsteps were heard upstairs as Leki and Lance chase each other. Those two act like seven year olds.
"Lance give it back, I know you have it," said Leki.
"Give you what? I told you I don’t have it," said Lance.
Every morning it was the same old story with these two, always arguing with each other.

"My shoes idiot. I left them in my room last night, you must have sneaked them while I was out."
"No I didn’t."
All this arguing was making me crazy. "Aria, lets go!"
"Coming," said Aria.
"If you’re looking for your chucks Leki you left them in the dining room last night," said my mother.
I looked at Leki and laughed. He looked so ridiculous when he’s angry.
He sighed. "Thanks ma."
"Told you, next time look for your damn thing before you put the blame on me," said Lance.
"Hey, shut it, we got school, remember," I said. "Come on lets go. See you mum."
"See you aunty," said Josh.
We both kissed her on the cheek and headed out the door.

We met Jess and the rest of them where we usually met at school. Jess looked better, her colour was back, though her eyes were still dull. At least it wasn’t sticking out of her head anymore, like it was before. She is a fast healer, I just hope that what ever flu she has would go away.
Walking over to them, I gave the boys fists a pound and hugged Jess and Mekaela. We all said our good mornings.
"Hey baby," said Josh, kissing Jess on the lips.
I rolled my eyes. Seriously, what is it with these two.
"Hey you," said Jess.

Aria and Tye were cuddling each other, Deck and Mekaela were talking, Jess and Josh were making out. As to those of us that were still single, well, we just stood there talking to each other. Strange as it may seem but, it seemed like the only entertaining thing to do here was to watch these guys make out. Pathetic? I know.
Oh crap. If its one thing having powers, especially one like mine, I always see their thoughts. Aria wanted to be alone with her honey-bear Tye. She sounds like a little seven year old wanting her little teddy bear. I blocked out that thought, not wanting to know what the rest of them were thinking.
"Look there," said Bow, nudging Beau with elbow.
I followed his gaze and looked straight into Tyrone’s eyes. I shivered, ever since I found out what he really was, he always gives me the creeps. There are a few things that makes vampires scary.

One: our powers are useless when ever a vampire in near, like a meter or two apart,
Two: their eyes flashes red every time they get angry,
And three: their fangs a totally, freaking scary. It can grow to at least four inches long, it depends on the vamps age. The older, the longer.
Which makes them even more scarier. Even with super powers, we are no match to vampires.
Tyrone stiffened when he saw Jess and Josh cuddling, his eyes narrowing. Seriously, this dude has got to get a grip on himself, jealousy isn’t going to solve anything.
Beau and Bow crossed their arms across their chest as Tyrone approached.
"What do you want?" said Beau, looking Tyrone up and down.
"I came to see Jess," said Tyrone.
Jess looked up with wide eyes and smiled.
"I don’t think so," said Bow.

Jess moved in front of them and smiled. "Hey, what’s up?"
"I was hoping we could talk. Alone," said Tyrone.
"Babe who’s this?" said Josh, taking Jess’s hand.
"Oh right, I forgot. Josh this is Tyrone, Tyrone this is my boyfriend Josh," said Jess, smiling at Josh.
Josh and Tyrone shook hands, stiffening. "Hey," said Tyrone, and Josh nodded.
"Listen, I see that you’re busy. I’ll talk to you later," said Tyrone.
"More like never," mumbled Bow.
"Okay. Sure, I’ll see you in class?" said Jess.
"Sure, catch you later," said Tyrone, and walked off.
"What was that about?" said Josh.
"Oh nothing," said Jess. "So how are you liking this place so far?"
"I’m liking it very much now," said Josh.
"Really?" cooed Jess.
Dang, these guys are getting more action then I expected. Guess it happens to every single guy/girl what ever.

"Really," said Josh. And then they were at it again. Dear lord, is this ever going to stop? Probably never. Geese, the least they could do was get a room. Tyrone was already gone, guess he’s taking it pretty hard. Who cares anyway, Jess deserves to be happy.
"You guys get a room," I joked.
Beau rolled his eyes. "I agree, break it up love birds."
Tye and Aria laughed and started kissing again. Mekaela and Decklan just wanted to hug each other, at least they had respect for those that are single here. As for Josh and Jess, oh man, it’s like it was just the two of them together in their own world.
"These guys have no respect for the rest of us," said Lance.
"True," said Leki.
When the bell finally rang, I got on my knees and thanked the lord for his good timing. Honestly, it gets kind of uncomfortable when you’re around couples that makes out a lot, wouldn’t you agree? They all laughed at me when I got up off my knees.
"What? I’m serious, I thank him for his good timing," I joked.
We said our good byes and went into school.

The Pain and Regrets:

Tye’s Point of View:

"She’s so powerful, you should have seen her yesterday when she used all four elements. It was amazing," I told Aria. The whole week end Jess had been practicing with Deck her new powers: all four elements. It was crazy, the way she summoned her powers. She could even read minds, read minds! That, is, I don’t know, I don’t think any word could describe what has happened to my baby sister. All those crazy powers she has, it’s making me crazy.

And then there are those nights when she would come home exhausted after her dates with Josh. Her eyes dull and sunken into her head, her lips dry and cracked, her energy low. It was an awful image of her. That boy was doing something to her.
"What do you mean," said Aria. She was beautiful, her and Jess both. I cant choose which one is more beautiful than the other. It may sound selfish, but it’s the truth. If you could see what I see, then you would no doubt know what I mean.
"When she discovered her other powers. You should have seen her use them. She’s a fast learner that girl."
"She’s clever, no doubt she learnt quicker than you," she joked.
I stared at her in shock. "What are you trying to say?"
"That you suck," joked Beau.

I forgot that we were with my annoying twin brothers. Those two could be a pain in the ass when they are together, and embarrassing at the same time. Sometimes they could be useful when you need them too.
"What ever," I said, rolling my eyes.
They laughed. Twins are such a pain in the ass – sometimes.
"You know, there’s this story that my grandmother use to tell me. She never had powers like us, she was a human. But it was my grandpa that had the powers actually. She would tell me stories about his adventures and their love life. I guess it was some made up story, who knows.

Anyway, my grandma told me about this legend about the Entara people - " now that got the twins attention, "and the vampires. Sad story really, all those Entara’s that lost their lives. Anyway, one of the royals, the prince I think, he was the one that they named ‘The Chosen One.’ It was said that it was ‘The Chosen One’ that would bring life back to the Entara people. He was the one that could summon any power from anyone, as long as that someone has super powers.
Then, not long after his seventeenth birthday, I think this happened when he was eighteen years old, he died. They said that it was the vampires that killed him, but my grandma said that my grandpa thinks otherwise. His powers were drained out of him, his skin pale, eyes dull and sunken into his skull, his lips cracked. He use to haunt my dreams when I was a little girl, silly really. Anyway, every single member of the royal family were murdered, their eyes dull and sunken, etcetera. So they put the blame on the vampires. So that’s how vampires and Entara’s which are us, became enemies."
It took me a while to take it in. ‘The Chosen One’, that was just weird and cool at the same time.

"So this chosen one, how long did it take him to discover his powers?" asked Bow.
"About a month, but it was just a story really," said Aria.
"That is some cool story your grandma use to tell you," said Bow.
"What’s this about?" said Mekaela.
"This story about the chosen one, it’s more like a bed time story actually," said Aria.
"I use to love bed time stories when I was just a babe," said Mekaela.
Beau laughed. "So does our boy Deck. He loves bed time stories."
"Just as long as you’re in it with him," teased Bow.
We laughed when Mekaela blushed. "What ever," she mumbled.
"It’s okay honey, you chose well," said Aria.
"I’ll give it a twenty out of fifty, its no biggie sis," joked Beau. He laughed at his own joke.

I rolled my eyes. "Aria’s right, Decklan’s lucky to have you in his life. Those two donkeys are just jealous cause they don’t have what you have."
Something soft hit me on the head. I looked down and saw a slice of bread on my lap. I looked up and saw Beau grin at me. My eyebrow raised, I said, "You play dirty brother."
Beau laughed, "that’s how we do it brother."
"You know better than that. It’s bad to mess with fire."
"What’s this about?" asked Aiden. I looked up at him and blinked. Wasn’t he suppose to be with Jess? "Oh yeah, she went back to get her stuff from her locker. A book I think, I’m not sure."
Damn, I forgot. He could read minds.
"It’s this argument they’re having about fire and water," explained Mekaela.
"Male ego or some shit," said Aria.
I looked down at her, shocked. Leki and Lance joined us along with Decklan. But where was Jess?

I looked over at Tyrone and his group. Leila and the other girl wasn’t there. I think her name was Jena or something? I shook my head. No, I’m just imagining things. Jess can take care of herself. Hell, she could take of all of us.
"Ha-ha very funny. Give me that," said Beau, snatching a sausage roll from Aria’s plate, stuffing it in his mouth.
Bow hit him on the head, "Dude, respect man."
I think he almost choked, then he shrugged. " ‘O ‘at? ‘Ot my ‘roblem."
Bits of food were flying every where. I shook my head.
"What’s up with him?" said Decklan.
I shrugged. "Something about respect, I don’t know."

Then everything was hot. I was sweating, honestly. It was warm at first, then the temperature just went up. There were screams in the hall then it was gone, just like that. We all stopped talking and looked at each other. Decklan was looking at me, Beau and Bow at each other. Was it just me? or could everyone feel what I’m feeling? I wasn’t using my powers, so it wasn’t me. Was there a fire in here? I don’t think so, I would know if there was a fire or something, and the damn fire alarms would have gone off by now, surely.
"This isn’t good," said Aiden. We stared at him, or glared, would be the right word. "I cant see anything, I cant read anything. Seriously, I cant read anybody’s thoughts at the moment."
"What has this got to do with your, what ever you call it?" said Beau.
Everyone in the room were sweating, murmurs getting louder, confused looks on their faces.
"This hasn’t happened before. This is some powerful shit that’s happening in here," said Aiden.
What is this boy talking about? He was just confusing all of us. He was probably confusing himself. I looked at Tyrone and saw him and his group stiffen. They got up and disappeared through the doors. Something was going on. At least I know now that I wasn’t going crazy. Two loud bangs were made from the hall, like bodies being thrown onto the walls. Then there were more, three more loud bangs.
"Some crazy shit is going on here," I said, getting up. I followed the noise into the hallway. Heat, wind, water? And bloody hell, leaves were on the ground. What is going on here?

"Wow, look at those guys over there," said Bow. I looked up and saw five bodies on the ground. My heart racing, I walked quickly to the bodies hoping I wouldn’t find Jess’s body amongst theirs.
Leila, Jena, Tyrone and two others that I recognized in Tyrone’s group.
"What happened here," said Decklan, checking their pulses.
"These vamps just got their asses whooped, that’s what," said Leki.
"Vamps?" said Deck. "Oh right, shit, I forgot, they cant die, that’s right."
He moved away from their bodies. They were all groaning and moaning and shit. I didn’t think I would say this but, these guys were suppose to be strong and shit. They’re like little kids moaning all the time. I wanted to laugh but it just seemed rude.
"What happened here?" I asked Tyrone, kneeling beside him.

His eyes were glazed, body rigid. The only response I got was a moan, then a choking sound, then nothing. It happened to all of them. I looked around and saw a hole on the wall. This was getting weirder and weirder every second.
"This is some weird shit," said Beau.
"Uh-huh," said Bow.
Students were starting to gather around the limp bodies. Murmurs about what had happened here. These guys were in some serious crap. How are they going to explain this?
"Where’s Jess?" asked Aiden, worry in his voice. "Guys, where’s Jess?"
That was a good question. Where is Jess?
"I’m not sure. Aiden what’s wrong?" said Deck.
"I’m not sure yet. But this is know for sure: Jess did this."
"What?!" I said loudly. I took their arms and headed outside not wanting anyone else to hear us.

"I just caught a glimpse of her mind five minutes ago. She’s loosing control you guys. It’s not Jess that I saw, it was something else, something dark and – and. It’s not her," said Aiden.
I started pacing up and down, thinking. What is she doing? What made her do this?
"I don’t think so, Jess wouldn’t hurt anyone. A punch yeah, but what I saw in there just then, that isn’t Jess," said Bow.
"Yeah well you thought wrong mate," said Aiden.
"Where is she?" asked Deck.
"I don’t, I - "
Before Aiden could finish Leila had him on his throat, against the car. Shit, this vampire is out of her mind.

"Your stupid friend did this to us. That freak friend of yours did her voodoo shit and bang, we were on the floor," said Leila, tightening her grip on Aiden’s throat. Poor guy was gasping for air.
"Let go of him Leila," said Mekaela.
"That girl is scary," mumbled Leki. And he was damn right, she was. Her eyes were red, her fangs an inch long.
"Okay that’s enough, let go of him now," I demanded. She turned her towards me and glared. "Let go of him now. It wasn’t his fault he attacked you. You must have done something to piss her off."

"Piss her off? I didn’t do nothing!" she screeched, letting go of Aiden’s throat. He fell on the ground, gasping for air.
"That’s - a lie. And - you - know it," said Aiden.
"Leila drop it," said Tyrone, walking over to her. He grabbed her and walked away.
‘This ain’t over’ she mouthed.
"That chick is sc-hairy," said Beau.
"I hear you," said Bow.
"Guys, we need to talk about Jess," said Mekaela.
"Yes. Aiden can you talk to her through your mind?" I asked.
"She’s too powerful, I cant get into her head even if I want to."
"Just try, please," said Decklan.
We were all worried about her. I wasn’t sure if we were going to find her. Cut that part out – I wanted to find her, but how?
