FRIENDS AGAIN

Hearing all about Aidens life was interesting. His life sounded so similar to mine. At his old school he got into a fight with one of the jocks because he was calling his sister names, after she rejected him. "So that’s pretty much my life yeah. What about you. Anything interesting happening in your life?"
"Are you kidding me? My life is full of action" I laughed
"It is? I don’t want to fall asleep while I’m listening yeah"
We both started laughing. Tye had gone off to talk with Aiden’s older sister. Decklan and Mekaela were no where to be seen. They probably went out to have some alone time I guess. I wasn’t sure where Beau and Bow had gone, they too, had probably sneaked out the house to go somewhere else. Happens all the time when ever they get bored.

I kept thinking about Tyrone, I wasn’t sure why but it felt like he was here, somewhere. I was probably imagining things. I wasn’t sure.
"Is it just me or is it hot out here" said Aiden
I felt it too. It was getting hot out here which was strange considering it was cold earlier on.
"Oh no" said Aiden.
I looked at him questionably
"No no that is all wrong" he said worriedly.
"What?" I asked
"Your brother. He’s going to need help or else my brother will kill him"
I looked back at Tye and Aidens brother. The only person that looked like he was in pain was Aidens brother. I watched him drop down on his knees, slapping himself like he was trying to take out a fire or something. I wasn’t sure what Aiden was talking about.

That was until I saw it happen. Everything went in slow motion.
Tye dropped down on his knees with his hands on his head, screaming in agony. The guests had stopped talking and were rushing over, forming a circle around Tye and Aiden. I stood there watching him, frozen to the spot.
"I am going to kill your brother" I said through my teeth. I turned around and ran as fast as I could and knelt down next to Tye. I watched as Aiden ran over to his brother.
If only I had phased soon enough I would be able to help Tye. Out of no where my brothers were right next to me and Tye.

We huddled together around Tye protectively. We weren’t sure what was wrong with him, he was still screaming. The guests had started mumbling to each other trying to figure out what was wrong with Tye. I looked around trying to look for my mother but couldn’t see her anywhere. Decklan started to shake the earth and moved it towards Aidens brother so only he could feel it. Bow summoned his power, wind. Beau had started summoning his power, water. All three of them started to summon their powers. The boys started to gather up their abilities in their hands, rounding them up.
On the other side I saw the two other guys summon their powers? In one of the guys hands I saw frost coming out of it. The other guy had fire on the tips of his fingers.
If it’s one thing I have noticed about my brothers abilities is that they use their mind and their body to collect their powers, comparing it with the guys on Aidens side it seemed that they use their body to collect their power.
"What the hell is going on here?"

I looked up and saw my mother trying to break through the crowd. She looked at us then looked at Aiden and his brother.
"Logan what do you think you’re doing? Stop hurting that poor boy" said Aundraya.
No one moved. Tye remained on the floor with his hands on his head, so did Aidens brother Logan.
My mother stood in front of us with her hand mid way. With that done she created some sort of invisible wall in between us and Aidens family. That stopped the pain Tye was going through.
"Now what ever was going on here earlier on is over. Understood?" said my mother in a loud voice.

None of us, and I do mean none of us, has seen our mother use her abilities. Tye stood up slowly with his arms around Deck and Beaus shoulders.
"Do you understand?" my mother repeated.
We all nodded in agreement.
She turned around to the guests, "I’m so sorry about this. My kids tend to get into fights most times, but I guess that’s just what kids do these days. I’m sure we all went through the same thing."
The elders nodded their heads approvingly. The others that looked like they were around my age were still focused on Tye and Aidens brother.
"You kids have a lot of explaining to do" said Aundraya to her kids.
"And so do you lot" said my mother.
"What is going on here?" said my father.

He obviously looked like he missed out on a lot.
"Nothing. Just a misunderstanding" I explained.
"Anybody want drinks?" my mother asked, obviously to the guests. Some of them looked disappointed like they wanted a fight to happen, or something to liven up the evening.
I looked around and saw Mekaela walk over to us. I had forgotten all about her.
"I’m sorry you had to see that" I said
She laughed. "It’s okay, I have them too"
I looked at her questionably.
"Your brothers abilities. I mean your brothers have the power of the four animals. I know all about it"

My draw felt like it dropped down to my knees. "You mean you have it too"
"Yes. I thought I was the only one that had it. I started phasing like a month ago. I didn’t know anything about it because none of my family has it."
Decklan heard us talking and looked at us, including Tye. Both of them looking shocked.
"Welcome to the gang" said Tye, trying to smile.
"Thanks"
"You know these are the sort of stuff you tell someone on your first date you know" said Decklan.
All four of them were listening now.
"Wow and just after I met you I thought you were one of them stuck up snobby rich girls" I told Mekaela.
She laughed. "I know, we all have our reasons right. But hey never judge a book by its cover"

We all started laughing at her. Tye looked better than before.
"I knew something was different about her. Besides her sexy looks" said Beau, winking at Mekaela. I laughed when I saw her blush. Yes, I got to admit the twins had their way with women.
"Dude shut up" said Decklan playfully punching Beau on the shoulder.
He shrugged and laughed along with Decklan and Bow.
Everyone seemed to have forgotten about the fight that happened earlier on. Everyone seemed like they were doing their own thing, even my mother and Aundrayah. My father was somewhere I couldn’t really see him anywhere. I looked over at Aiden and his family. They didn’t look too happy but they went about with their business, just like us. The guest were back to talking and mingling with each other. What I have seen earlier on with the guest, it looked like they had abilities aswell. They didn’t seemed shocked nor were they surprised. It looked like they just wanted a fight to happen.

"Jess can we talk please"
I turned around and saw Aiden with his sister on his side.
"What do you want?" said Bow angrily, looking them up and down.
"Look about earlier on, my brother was way out of line. He shouldn’t have done that. I really am sorry Tylor"
"Hey its not you I’m mad at. It’s your brother, shouldn’t he be the one apologizing?" asked Tye.
"I know I told him to come and apologize but I guess he wont. You see he lets his pride get in the way"
"Honestly I’m fine with it. Just tell your brother to stay out of the way next time. I was just trying to have a conversation with your sister"

I looked over at Aidens sister, "What’s your name?" I asked rudely.
Beau and Bow chuckled.
"My names Aria. Second eldest in the family" she replied
"Aria huh. Nice name…..really nice" I said walking up to her.
"Thanks I guess. What’s your name?" Aria asked politely.
"Jess….but I rather prefer you call me Jessica"
I turned my back on her.
"You didn’t have to be so rude you know" Tye told me.
"Hey I was just introducing myself."
I defended innocently forgetting that I was talking with Aiden earlier on. I turned around only to get blown in the face by him.
"Look okay I just wanted to come here and apologize. I didn’t think you would be this rude to my family" said Aiden.

"Youch. He better take that back" whispered Bow.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"Just forget about it."
"No you forget about it. My family invites you over and you guys start a fight with MY family. Now tell me that ain’t being rude?"
"I told you he should have taken it back" said Bow.
"Twenty hes going down" said Beau.
"Deal" agreed Bow.

"Look okay none of us wanted to come here. Out of kindness we came anyway. Maybe it was a bad idea to come to this party, if that’s what you call it anyway" said Aiden looking around.
I moved up closer to him and saw him flinch, keeping my eyes in contact with his. He kept trying to take his eyes off of mine but he couldn’t, and I wouldn’t let him.
"Jess" warned Tye.
"Dude its no problem"
Tye glared at me.
"I’m not being rude here Aiden, just trying to make you guys feel welcome that’s all. No biggy really" and I smiled at him. He looked unsure, if he was suppose to smile back or keep on arguing.

"Dude shes smiling at him and you know what that means" whispered Bow.
Beau whined but gave in. He brought out his wallet and handed Bow a twenty dollar note. "Nice doing business with you bro" laughed Bow.
He rolled his eyes at Bow and then glared at me.

"I ain’t mad or anything Aiden I just want us to be friends again"
He gave me a big smile, behind me I could hear Tye let out a big sigh like he had it in the whole time. Who would blame him anyway, anyone would think that his sister is crazy with all the fights she’s been getting into.
"I really am sorry about my brother I promise that will never, ever happen again. I hope" said Aiden.
"Im sorry about before Aria. You really do have a nice name I was just trying to get back at your brother by hurting your feelings. I’m sorry"

"Shes gone soft" whispered Beau. Bow laughed at him. "Maybe you ought to learn something from her"
"As if"
"Just saying man am just testing you"
"Sure no problem" said Aria. She said it so smoothly I wasn’t sure if she actually heard me earlier on when I introduced myself to her.
"That’s it? You’re not gonna get into a hissy fit or something? Or maybe slap me or talk back at me or something at least?" Tye asked Aria.
"Nah I ain’t that cruel besides if I was gonna get into a fight I would probably kill someone."

"You are so weird lady no offense. So if I punched you in the gut would you hit me back or something?" Mekaela asked Aria.
"Hold it people!" I said waving my hands in the air, "One by one I want you all to say out loud your abilities, just so we could hear it you know, the people in this circle"
They looked at each other then shrugged.
All in order from the oldest Tye started off first.
"Fire"
"Water"
"Wind"
"Water"
"I can shock people yeah" said Mekaela. I looked at her and she shrugged.
"I can read minds, but only people I know really well" said Aiden. That explained a lot actually how we went about his my brother getting into trouble.
"I can shoot electricity from my hands" said Aria.

"So am I the only one that hasn’t phased? Are you people kidding me now" I whined.
They all shrugged.
"Hey just think about it like this. Next week is your birthday and you know how it is. So pretty soon you’re going to get into the gang" said Tye.
"Wait you haven’t phased at all? I thought you were older than me" said Aiden shocked.
"Well duh. Dude if she has phased you wouldn’t be up talking to us now would ya" joked Bow. I laughed at Aiden when he blushed.
"Oh my gosh! I just remembered that my birthday is on Wednesday!"
We were all in a deep conversation enjoying each others company we didn’t hear my mother come up behind us.
"Well ain’t this a pleasant sight aye Aundrayah. Our kids actually having a conversation with each other"
The whole lot of us jumped at her voice.
