Topical Acne Treatments are Inefficient in the Long Run

Topical acne treatments are proven inefficient in the long run. Discover the information the pharmaceutical companies are hiding from you.
What exactly are topical acne treatments? And would using them help you solve your acne problem? We will explain to you what they are and give you the names of those we consider the most effective.

There are two types of medication which are used to fight acne. There are medicines which are taken orally and there are creams, powders and gels which are applied on the skin. This second variety of products, which can either be prescribed or bought over the counter are called topical acne treatments.

Amongst topical acne treatments, the most common are Benzoyl Peroxide and Retinoids. The former destroys the bacteria which produces acne and also frees the pores so that sebum flows unhindered. These dual actions reduce the symptoms of acne. The second one, Retinoids, is most commonly used to treat blackheads and whiteheads, again by allowing the sebum to flow freely. Topical acne treatments in the Retinoid category are Adapalene, which includes Differin cream or gel, Tretinoin, which incorporates medicines such as Retin-A, Steiva-A, Avita gel and cream and Vitamin A Acid and finally Tazortene, which includes Tazorac gel. Antibiotics which fall in the topical acne treatment range are Sulfacetamide, Clindamycin, Erythromycin and Azelaic acid. This last is a dynamic medicine which fights inflammation and is antibacterial.

Topical acne treatments also come in combined forms. For instance, Erythromycin combined with topical Retinoid forms Stievamycin and combined with topical Benzoyl Peroxide forms Benzamycin.

Topical Acne Treatments - the true story

I have been experimenting for upwards of 7 years with all conceivable topical acne treatments which exist and after extensive research, it is my considered opinion that your acne can never be cured by any known topical acne treatment. The reason for this is that the appearance of acne in a person is a sign that there is something deeply wrong with him internally and it is not just an external phenomenon. So, while there are several topical treatments which may offer temporary relief, they really do nothing more than camouflage the symptoms.

If you really want your acne to be permanently cured, you will have to set right the internal causes that lie within you. It is only by using holistic all natural methods that you will be able to conquer your acne, whatever type it may be and however severe its manifestation, because it will go to the root of the acne and nip it in the bud. No topical acne treatment will be able to do this.
