Top 10 Funniest Movies

With so many classic comedy movies, narrowing it down to the top 10 funniest movies ever made is a daunting task; no less than a dilemma. For instance, if I am given to choose between Ace Ventura Pet Detective and Wedding Crashers, I can't help but include both. These two movies are the best in their own style of direction, storyline and uniqueness. But sometimes, some hard choices have to be made, and having done that I have come up with the list of some of the funniest movies of all time.

Funniest Movies of All Time - Top 10

Bruce Almighty
I have laughed out my lungs and got my stomach through a hell of an exercise every time I have watched this movie. Obnoxious and overly sentimental comedy by Jim Carrey gave me a wild ride of laughter. Bruce Nolan is the character that is played by Jim in this film; poor-on-luck news reporter, who soon loses his job. Jobless and frustrated with life, Bruce complains against God that He is not doing his job well. So what's next? Bruce gets a heavenly chance to meet God Himself; played by Morgan Freeman. So now God gives him all His powers to prove as to who fits the bill for doing God's job. And then what follows is a series of hilarious events which will keep you glued to your couch.

Wedding Crashers
I just could not keep this one out of the list of the funniest movies of the 21st century and, of all time. None could shell out so much laughs, as Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson did. In this movie, the hilarious idea of crashing weddings on weekends and pumping up sex lives, is accompanied by funnier dialogs and, yes of course, stupendous performances thrown by these two great actors.

Ace Ventura Pet Detective
Yup! Jim Carrey is up again with his super comedy performance in yet another film - 'Ace Ventura Pet Detective'. Jim is a pet detective whose job is to track down lost pets for his clients. This film took Carrey to huge fan following and turned this hilarious maniac into a $20-million man. Laughs are sure good for health!

Pineapple Express
Even the cover of the movie amuses me! This is a story of two lovable idiots, Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) and Saul Silver (James Franco). The consistency in humor and the impressive showcase of chemistry between these two characters are worth their place among the funniest movies of all time. Watch it and I am certain that you will agree with me.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
What would an emotional wreck do after getting dumped by his girlfriend who is a celebrity? Perhaps what Peter, an exaggeratedly dramatic fellow did in this movie. Most people found this one funnier than they thought it to be. So, watch this film and you won't be disappointed.

The Simpsons Movie
The Simpsons may be attributed as a synonym of 'funny'. Although an animation, this movie has stood out of the ordinary. One stuff which I have noticed about the Simpsons is that, if you don't get the better of their jokes, they do not seem to be funny. The Simpsons movie, if you ask me, well, was a brutal killer of 86 minutes. And yeah, Homer, as always, leaves you gasping for breath!

Shrek
"Donkey, if that was me, you'd be dead!" Boy, did this line hurt my stomach when Shrek threw it on Donkey? One of the most amazing animated movies I have ever seen. Brilliant presentation, sensible story line, amusing characters and what not. Not only did this create the magic, even the other parts of Shrek were simply too good to be avoided from placing it in the list of funniest movies of the decade.

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
We just can't get enough of Jim Carrey, or do we? Not a single moment in this movie is stuffed with dullness or boredom. Consistent humor has been the key to take this movie to one the top funniest movies of all time list. If you have had some good laughs watching the previous Ace Ventura, then best laughs is what you will get over here.

Blue Streak
I just love this guy Martin Lawrence, the way he delivers his dialogs, and does all crazy stuffs. The funniest part of the film is that the building where Lawrence hides a stolen diamond. After doing time for two years, he returns only to see that the building has been renovated into a police station. This is when you get to see the real performance of Lawrence as he pretends to be a police officer. The move just keeps running with action and lots of gags and laughs.

Zoolander
Coming to the final number of the list, is a story about a moronic male model who is persuaded or brainwashed to undertake an assassination of the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Ben Stiller takes the character of this male model and along with Will Ferrell, does an amazing job in providing some great several minutes of laughter.
