Top Spring Break Destinations

Each year millions of students hit the road for a week long vacation. Here is a guide to some top spring break destinations.
Each year million of college and high school students start the spring off with a weeklong party known as spring break. From early March till late August young people of America let their hair down and forget about school for a week with sun and fun. It is usually a time when the school year is about to start winding down and it is one last hurrah before finals and school ends. While the main goal is to have fun on spring break, one of the toughest things to do is find a great spot to go. Well this year read this article and find out where some of the hottest destinations are for spring break.

Panama City Beach, Florida

Panama City is known by many names but the most popular may be spring break capitol of the world. Panama City has it all and throws a party like no other city can. With crystal white beaches and world-renowned nightclubs Panama City has become a spring break destination for students all over the country.

Located on the panhandle of Florida and the Gulf of Mexico Panama City mixes both fun and sun unlike any other city. Its popular strip is filled with cars 24/7 for a constant outdoor party and good time. There are also plenty of amusement parks that keep you busy the whole day. For nighttime you can visit one of the many clubs, but a must do are the two most popular dance clubs Spinnakers and Club La Vela.

Cruise

Cruises are becoming much more popular for the younger crowd over the past few years. Once known as a retirement vacation cruises now offer just about every amenity known to man on a non-stop party boat.

One of the great things about cruises is the flexibility you have with them. There is the ability to choose where you go and how long you go for. From just about anywhere in the country you can take a relativity short plane flight to a port that has a cruise ship coming out of it.

What has made cruises become a great spring break destination is the fact that they are practically all inclusive, excluding alcohol. All food and most entertainment are included with the ticket and therefore allow a great time on a tight budget.

Cancun

If you are really looking to get away for spring break then Cancun is the place for you. Located on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, Cancun is loaded with good times and great weather.

Probably the best place to go for sun and surf Cancun has become a tourism hot spot and the surrounding area has the goods to go with it. The weather is almost guaranteed to be perfect and the water is known for its emerald color.

While there is the beach and pool during the day there are great dance clubs at night. One of the lures to Cancun is the 18 and over policy for drinking. This drives many young college students to a destination they can safely party in. This trip is probably going to be one of the more expensive trips for spring break.

Snow Shoe, West Virginia

If you are looking for a different way to spend spring break then look no further than Snow Shoe. Easily the best skiing on the eastern coast Snow Shoe is beginning to make a name for itself as a spring break hot spot.

There are always spring break deals going that help make this one of the more affordable spots to go to. What also makes this place unique is the lay out of the mountain and resort. Unlike most ski resorts where the town is at the bottom of the mountain, Snow Shoe is located at the top of the mountain. A great little town with bustling shops and bars Snow Shoe is a must do for spring break.

Volunteer

If you are burned out from all the partying and chaos of a normal spring break then think outside the box a little and do something you will feel good about. Even though you may not hear about it there are thousands of kids who spend their spring break volunteering for many things.

There is not just one thing you can do to volunteer, but instead a multitude of things. You can stay home and volunteer around your community or travel with a student group to an underprivileged country to help there. This is not only a very rewarding vacation, but also something that looks good on transcripts and resumes.
