They never fail to provide entertainment and are always there to surprise audiences with something new. Many people like reading movie reviews before watching movies. So here it is, some of the best movies of this year.

Top Rated Movies of 2010

When you talk about awesome movies, you obviously mean something that is a whole new experience, something which is never seen before. With economic recession gradually leaving our nation, it is time to celebrate by watching the best movies of 2010.

Inception
From the master maker Christopher Nolan, Inception was one of the much awaited movies of 2010. Its plot is a sci-fi detective story that finds out the various powers of the human mind. The man who gave us "The Dark Knight" ensembles a brilliant cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy. It became a box office success and had audiences thrilled from top to bottom. The end might be debatable according to many critics but Inception is the real thing for sure.

Toy Story 3
Considered as one of the best animated movies of all time, Toy Story 3 is the third and last installment in the Toy Story Franchise. Many people had predicted that it will surpass Avatar and become one of the highest grossing movies of all time. Well it was tough crossing Avatar's mark but Toy Story 3 has made enormous collections and been a critical success.

Iron Man 2
Robert Downey Jr, returns as the alcoholic, sex-addicted, wise-ass billionaire, Tony Stark (Iron Man). The first part was a commercial and critical success. Personally, I wanted to see Scarlett Johansson's performance as the Russian dominatrix Black Widow and I was not disappointed. The best part about this movie was Mickey Rourke as Whiplash.

Shutter Island
The dream team Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio is back and this time it is better than before. Martin Scorsese hasn't made a horror movie since "Cape Fear" and this time he's back with Shutter Island with his favorite actor. The plot is based on a mental institution for the criminally insane. The movie features a brilliant cast of Emily Mortimer, Michelle Williams, Sir Ben Kingsley, Max von Sydow, and Jackie Earle Haley. The movie performed extremely well and performances of all the people were praised.

Alice in Wonderland
This 3D adventure story adaptation proved to be the perfect film for visionary director Tim Burton. The cast included his utmost favorite Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and Mia Wasikowska. Considered as one of the best movies from Burton, it was a clever take on Lewis Carroll's adaptation and was made better with special effects and superb acting.
