Too Many Affiliates, Not Enough Online Business?

This may or may not be true, however, if you’re new to working online, then you may feel like there is no affiliate online business for you. That’s because competition is tough, and you really need to know what you are doing.

So if this is you, you may be asking the question, so what now? Well, there are options. I wouldn’t recommend this because I did it, and I thought it was largely a waste of money. I got involved with a company that says they will train and coach you until you are able to fly on your own. My initial conversation with them was mind blowing because the different numbers they charged for various programs ranged from like $5,000 to $8,000. I said no thank you, at first.

Then when they called me back (they always call you back), they came up with a number of around $2,000 and I can’t believe I went for it. Looking back, I can see how I did, but knowing what I know now, it’s sort of laughable. They made it seem like it was just a formality that I would be making $100,000/year. I would just have to take these webinars, and spend time with my coach, slap up a website, and off I go. Well, it didn’t happen! I’m not going to say I learned nothing, but I certainly didn’t learn a lot of the practical things I needed to learn out here in the real world. Actually the webinars and online library of past webinars were great. Not worth the money I paid, because I actually put out even a bit more along the way.

Another way to go would actually cost you nothing, but you would be on your own. You could go to places like Clickbank, or Paydotcom, and sign up for free. Then you could look through the list of products (mostly digital) that the vendors associated with them, are selling. Then just pick one, and you’re off. However, you’re probably off to nowhere, as you may already know.

There’s only one problem with this scenario. Everything else that follows. You see, even if you picked the most popular products available, and even if you designed, or paid for the most beautiful website around, you still would have to figure out how to get targeted buyers to your website to pick up your affiliate identification number, on their way to their vendor’s site. And the more popular or better selling the item is, the more competition there will be among the affiliates who are trying to make the commissions.

You can browse around on the internet and buy some tools that will help you to get your targeted traffic, however, there are so many of those, that you won’t have a clue which are worth it, and which are not.

I actually tried both of the above options, and was truly not too many days from quitting this business. And if I had, I would have been just the latest member to join the dreaded 97% club. That’s the percentage of people who fail and quit at internet marketing. However, I was truly saved and I found out that if you learn how to earn, the only way you will fail is if you quit. If you learn how to do this, you will be ahead of most! You can gain the power of knowledge and will begin to believe that if you then put your mind to this, you can do it.
