Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: November Wedding

It was reported that family and friends of Cruise and Holmes finally received a wedding invitation requesting that they are free the weekend of November 16-19. Arnold Robinson, a rep for the couple, confirmed the rumors saying that the wedding will take place in Italy on November 18. Robinson said, "All those details are correct." He went on to say that in order to keep the vows private "proper security measures" were being taken.

There has been a lot of speculation about when Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, would tie the knot. The two became an item in April 2005 and were engaged a mere two months later. Their daughter, Suri, was born April 18, 2006. The two were originally supposed to tie the knot over the summer, but the nuptials are set to take place next month. A source close to the couple said, "They are so excited!"

Giorgio Armani has confirmed that he has been asked to make Holmes’ wedding dress. Armani said, "When I am asked by a friend to make a wedding wardrobe, it goes straight to my heart." He has also been selected to create Cruise’s wedding garb. Armani also said, "It really is an honor to play a small role in that milestone moment." This will be Holmes first marriage and Cruise’s third. He was previously married to actresses Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman. Cruise and Kidman also have two adopted children, Isabella and Connor. There has been no word on whether or not Cruise or Holmes will have a wedding party or who might possibly stand up for the couple. Wonder if Holmes’ Scientology handler will play a part in their special day?
