Together Again - Chapter Two - 'I Miss You'
First let me say thank you for all the positive feedback. I was so happy when I saw the responses and view. Now, Rayanna is facing the biggest challenge, seeing her ex, KeShaun after 6 six years apart. She is torn on whether to forgive him on cheating on her.
Here I am staring face to face with my ex, the man who I think I'm still in love with. No...I can't take him back after all the grief he put me through. I can't.
"Hi, Raya," he said, calling me by the nickname he gave me in high school.
"Oh, so she the only one you see sitting up at this table?" Sasha rudely interrupted me before I gave my reply.
"Sorry, Ms. Hodge, how are you?" he said, like the gentleman he was.
Why did I break up with him again? Oh, yeah, he cheated.
"Hmm" is all Sasha said.
He turned his attention back to me.
"How are you? I haven't seen you in so long."
"Um..I'm fine, I just graduated from medical school a few days ago."
"Oh yeah, I heard, my mom told me."
We stared awkwardly at the floor for what seemed like hours before Sasha said something.
"So, aren't you going to ask her to dance, Mr. Farmer?"
"Uh, yeah,do you want to dance Rayanna?"
"I can't leave Sasha he-------"
Before I could even finish my sentence, Sasha said, "Gurl please you know I'm good by myself.
I watched her hard, knowing what she was trying to do.
"Besides," she continued, "I see one for me already." before getting up and starting to grind up on a man.
"I see Sasha hasn't changed one bit since college," he said to me.
I started to laugh as he pulled me onto the crowded dance floor.
We started bumping and grinding to the music, I was not in control any more.
He pulled closer to him and whispered, "I miss you" into my ear.
That snapped me back to reality.
I stopped dancing and headed back over to our table.
He followed me.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
I looked him dead in his eyes and let him have it, "What's wrong? How do expect to just come back into my life after all this time and tell me that you miss me? Have you forgotten that you cheated on me and you ruined our relationship?"
He sank his head and sighed.
When he looked up, he saw me almost to tears.
He sat next to me.
"Raya, I have apologized countless of times and I missed you all throughout these years we've been apart.
"KeShaun it is not that simple."
"Why can't it be? I know you miss me too. You can't sit hear and tell me that you don't miss me too. Am I right?"
I let out a sigh.
I did miss him but I couldn't let him know that. I couldn't let him know that with every guy that I've been with I secretly wished for him in each of them.
TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!!
