Together Again - Chapter One - Steppin' Out
26 year old Rayanna George has just graduated from medical school in Atlanta, Georgia and is now focused on finding herself a man--tall, dark, and handsome. Then along comes KeShaun Farmer, 28 year old lawyer, who was her college sweetheart, until she found him cheating. What will happen now...will they be 'Together Again'? The pic is not exactly like what I had in mind for Rayanna to wear but this will do.
I had on a skin tight silver-metallic one shoulder strapped dress with a pair of silver Versace heels and I looked fierce.
"Thank u gurl, you about ready to go?" I replied.
"Yeah, I need to get over Marcus and you need to find yourself a man!!"
Does she have to keep saying that? Have I been single that long?
"Yes you have," she said, like she was reading my mind, "and that's going to end tonight.
"Whatever girl, tonight is about having fun and celebrating my graduation....we are stepping out!!"
We walked downstairs and headed to my new black 2010 Ford Focus. I saved up to buy my own car for 4 years. My dream car was just a little outdated, so this is my new baby.
"We going to 'Opera' right?"
"Yeah, girl, the number one night club in ATL!!"
"What are you, their spokesperson?"
We laughed and talked about the usual drama that happened that week.
As we arrived at the club, we waved at Giant, the bouncer and one of my good friends.
As we walked in we got the hater stares at some of the people waiting in the line.
It is about who you know in Atlanta and obviously they don't know anybody.
When we finally got in, the club was packed, but that is expected of Atlanta's #1.
We got our drinks-- Cherry Bomb for me and Long Island Ice Tea for Sasha.
There was a lot of empty seats because everyone was on the dance floor. So we sat down in a booth.
"Hey gurl, did you hear KeShaun's back in town?" Sasha said initiating the conversation.
I nearly choked on my drink. Was she talking about my college sweetheart KeShaun?
"Yes, your ex KeShaun" I hate it when she does that! " Yep, he's back for his aunt's funeral."
If you ever needed info on someone, Sasha was who you headed to, she knew everyone's business.
"Wow I didn't know she died. When did he come back?"
"I think he came yesterday," she said browsing the crowd like a lion for its prey. Then suddenly her gazed stopped.
Here we go again, she found "the one". As I followed her gaze, I saw him.
It was KeShaun.
I hadn't seen him since he transferred out of state for law school, but DAMN, he still looked good. I needed to control myself, because he was a two timing jerk who cheated on the best thing he ever had~ ME.
He saw me and smiled. I smiled back slowly and turned my head to look at Sasha. She had a stupid grin on her face that just said, "You want him back don't you?"
To tell you the truth I didn't know what I wanted but it sure as hell wasn't---- I turned my head to find myself staring right at him. All those memories just started flooding back into my head of all the good times we had. Oh No......I'm still in love with him.
