One of the most common causes of toe pain at night is due to occurrence of gout. Gout in most of the cases occurs as a result of excess deposition of solid Urate (a salt formed by uric acid), on the connective tissues of the toe. The gout is basically Monosodium urate crystal deposition and is caused as a result of a condition that is known as Hyperuricemia, which is the high level uric acid in the blood. People often realize the presence of the gout due to the acute pain that is felt as a result of the weight of blankets and socks. After the initial symptom, of toe pain, the gout depicts a red color, swelling at joints which is of course accompanied by severe pain. The gout can be treated with many different drugs that dissolve the deposition of salts and also reduce the amount of Urate that is present in the blood stream. This happens many a times in the case of toe pain due to the fact that, if the skin on the foot is touched and we never realize the fact that we have suffered from a very minor injury.
Toe Fracture
