Today My Heart is Broken..

Broken Heart
Today my heart is broken
By the words she carelessly said..
And I listened & listened closely
For any sign that she still cared..

Today my heart is broken..
Because the look on her face was so real..
And as she smiled and I cried
I hurt inside
Remembering all the we shared these past three years..

Today my heart is broken
Because I tried everything she said that our survival would need..
And she took it all,
And she played along,
And me showed me feelings that weren't real.

Today my heart is broken
I'm hurt and I'm weak..
She took me here, to leave me here,
Alone with our shattered dreams.
