To My
This is a poem written about my father who has been in jail most of my life...
To my father.
Who has only been around for half my life
Who has hurt me time and time again.
Were broken hearts are lingering back home,
hoping that one day he will finally be done and return to us.
Tears fall as many more promises and birthdays are missed.
A young girl who's dream's are broken.
Who has no father to shield her from all the pain boys bring.
Who is not around to help a lonely mother of three.
Maybe he will one day come home for good.
But that is only something his heart can with hold.
