Tissue Paper Craft Ideas for Kids
Craft Idea #1: Key Chain
Things You Will Require
- Small hole punch
- Decoupage solution
- Colorful tissue paper
- Transparent plastic lid
- Plastic clip
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Cardboard paper
You can make your tissue paper key chain in different patterns and shapes. You can go for a key chain with butterfly or simple flower shaped key chain. Cut the cardboard into required shape with the help of scissors. The size of the pattern should fit on the surface of the plastic lid. Cut the edges of the plastic lid to make a plane flat surface. Once you have cut the cardboard into desired pattern, staple the pattern onto the plastic lid. Staple the pattern from all the sides and cut out excess plastic, if any. Then, with the help of punch make a small hole at the top of the plastic. Take the colorful tissue papers and tear them to form small ¾ inches pieces. Apply the decoupage solution to the cardboard layer of the plastic. Spread the pieces of tissue papers over the decoupage solution. Try to make overlapping patterns that will suit. Also spread the decoupage solution over the top of tissue paper and leave the assembly to dry. Once the gum solution dries completely, trim off the excess tissue paper towards the edges. Then attach the backpack clip through the hole at the top. Your tissue paper key chain is ready.
Craft Idea #2: Fairy
Things You Will Require
- Wiggly eyes
- Tissue papers - white and yellow (or any other color)
- Ball shaped lollipop
- Red ribbon
- Scissors
- Marker
- Cotton ball
To make this fairy from tissue paper and lollipop, first cut out a round circle from the colored tissue paper. The diameter of this circle should be such that it is twice the height of the lollipop. Then, take the white tissue paper and cut out a circle that is half of the circle you had cut previously. Take the lollipop and drape the colored tissue paper over it, then drape the white tissue paper over the colored tissue paper. Take the ribbon and tie it around the tissue paper, at the position where the lollipop is connected to the stick. This makes the neck and face of the fairy. With the help of marker draw the eyes and mouth of the fairy. Glue the wiggly eyes at the place where you marked the eyes. Now, to make the wings of the fairy, take the white tissue paper and scrunch it up at its center. Tie the ribbon at the center and glue this to the back of lollipop. You can decorate the wings with glitter or sequins. To make the hair of the fairy, take cotton ball and color it with black marker. With the help of glue, stick to the cotton ball to top of the lollipop. Add some glitters to the hair and this makes your tissue paper fairy.

Lay the folded strip on the table and start fanning the ends of the paper from both the sides. Then lift the tissue papers gently and separate them from one another.
