Tired of the Snow Part1 and Waiting for the Spring Part 2
Snow is nice until there is too much of it and spring can't get through
Part 1
I’m so tired
So very tired of the snow.
Another day, that’s gray
Snow hitting the ground
More white stuff all around.
Looked out of the window
Snowflakes filled the air
What did I dare to say?
Except hey - gimme a shot gun
I want to blast each one.
So tired, so very tired of the snow.
I wonder is white a color?
I’d love to see green
And flower in rainbow tones.
But outside the top color is white
Snow, snow all around
Joining the white stuff on the ground
So tired, so very tired of the snow.
Part 2
I woke up this morning
To a gray and ordinary day.
Outside the ground still had a cover of snow
I feel another cold coming on
Where, oh where is the spring?
I went to bed
And dreamed of meadows
Flowers blooming
And the perfume of lilacs in the air.
My eyes still shut
I listened for the chirps of birds singing
Is it spring yet?
I jumped out of bed
To the window I did head
I looked out and all about
It was another gray and ordinary day
Where oh where is the spring?
I’m so tired
So very tired of the snow.
