  • Begin a conversation with what can be done, and make sure that you can do things for them. Never begin a conversation with what things which can't be done.
  • If customers are irate, let them air out their anger completely. Never interrupt or start speaking until they have finished.
  • Once they have finished speaking, try to calm them down by apologizing.
  • If you have a solution, make sure that it's acceptable to the customer, and get their approval, if they agree.
  • Once you are done solving the problem for the customer, before ending the call, always remember to ask if there is anything else that you can do for them. End the call with a 'thank you'.
