The progressive scan feature of some DVD players leads to a clear, sharp image. Another good addition may be a DVD player/recorder, which you can use to record television shows and movies onto a blank disc to enjoy later. In addition, after downloading your favorite shows, the large hard drives of DVD-R recorders are perfect for storage.

Audio starter sets containing a sub woofer for bass as well as right, left, and center speakers are available for the home theater system.
