Tinker Toys
Pinocchio always wanted to be a real boy, too.
Little girls and boys
Are like tinker toys
You wind them up
And tell them it's joy
Seeings believing
But they cannot see
Their eyes are painted
It's true misery
They have no control
They're told where to go
Someone else holds
The key and the molds
But one day they'll find
In the depths of their minds
That the ability to see
Is to be free
A moment will come
Where the spring is undone
The battle will be won
And freedom will come
Are like tinker toys
You wind them up
And tell them it's joy
Seeings believing
But they cannot see
Their eyes are painted
It's true misery
They have no control
They're told where to go
Someone else holds
The key and the molds
But one day they'll find
In the depths of their minds
That the ability to see
Is to be free
A moment will come
Where the spring is undone
The battle will be won
And freedom will come
