Time Traveling Adventure - Chapter 6 - Don't Miss
This chapter explains the sudden appearance of a time machine in our 21st century....
"So, I can see that even this century has intelligent children ,or else you'd be unable to reach inside this time machine", said a man,comfortably sitting on a sofa in one of the corners of the room, unnoticed until now by the twins.
This got them nervous, but the man seemed friendly. He had a tall physique and a friendly face. He told the children that he was a time traveler from the thirty first century and was greatly interested in seeing the past.
He then told them that his name was - 'HOMO SAPIEN X211646765890'....
"Umm, excuse me sir, but I - I didn't understand your name....", said Sandy.The twins had never heard a name stranger than this for a human being - or was this man a robot?
X211646765890 smiled sadly," Yes, that's my name, children. You see, the 31st century is ruled by computer robots and each time a human being is born, they name the child according to the serial number of his birth; with an 'X'. Other alphabets are used for other living species of animals. We live under the control of robots......."
Wasn't it strange? Mankind being the slave of a thing they'd discovered themselves !
"Well, it isn't that bad.We just have to obey them and they treat us like you all treat your pets. All the humans are O.K. there. It's just that I like to come often to this century, when science and technology is under the control of the humans and when human beings are the super species, ruling the earth," consoled the time traveler, seeing the shocked look on the face of the twins.
He continued,"But this time when I came in the 21st century, my invisibility dial (that kept the time machine invisible) got ruptured when I had a crash landing.Thus I got stuck underground"....
"Then luckily , a man took me out of the soil. Please thank him from my side. But then he placed some cloth over the machine. So , I couldn't go back to my time as time travel requires zero mass on the outer surface of the machine. Thanks to you both, or I'd have been unable to return in my time.... So, as a reward, would you both like to travel in time with me?"
