Slowly, Sid and Sandy advanced towards the concealed object. The object was not very large, but not small too. The twins, wondering what on earth all this was about, removed the cloth ....
The cloth revealed something the twins had never seen before in nearly the 16 yrs of their existence. The thing apparently was a gadget, but one like no other. It was making a deep beeping sound after about 30 seconds regularly. The luminous dials and buttons on it gleamed miraculously, as if shining due to a heavenly illumination .....
The twins looked back on Pritam, clearly demanding more explanation. But Pritam only sighed and shrugged his shoulders, being as clueless as them.
The twins' minds were already racing. Both had the same thought in their minds.
"Can we take it to our homes, please?", pleaded the twins in union.
Pritam gravely considered this point for a while. Well, he was assured that this was no bomb or anything that could cause any harm.
Plus, their father was an engineer. So, it was likely that this weird gadget was better off with the Sharma family.
Finally, he consented, and without charging a single rupee, helped them to load it on their cycles to carry back home. Here came another surprise - the gadget was as light as feather !
