Time Traveling Adventure - Chapter 2
Again a nice boost of secrecy....Please comment, readers. My 1st writing experience...
"Come on, we can't just sit idle, Sid", said Sandy, breaking the silence, "why don't we go to the station junk yard to check out if we can find anything innovative?"
"Yeah, let's do so. Doing something is at least better than doing nothing !", approved Sid.
So off they went on cycles with their pocket money to the junk yard near their colony.
This was not a regular junk yard. It was meant for only dysfunctional gadgets and electronic equipment that functioned no more. Sandy and Sid hoped to find something cool and extraordinary, which their parents would like.
On reaching the advanced junk yard, where you can pay a nominal amount to buy any electronic part; the twins found something weird. When they'd expected to find the junk yard's caretaker, Pritam, to greet them with a smile, they found him sitting in his small office, with his brows frowning in concentration, hardly noticing the twins at all.
For a while, they tried to attract his attention indirectly-tapping their shoes, tapping their fingers on his table, whistling softly... But Pritam seemed oblivious to these sounds. Finally, impatient Sandy could take it no longer. She called out, "Hey Pritam, how do you do?"
