It is important to turn within and question priorities. In an inkling the moment is lost forever. There is no scope to undo or retrace your steps. So why not walk into the sunset in the light of knowledge...
Those who enrich passing day;
Take time off to praise and rank,
Your self along the chosen way.
Amidst the strife, timeless toil,
Amidst chaos that takes a toll;
Amidst demands on life's soil,
You need time off for the soul.
In a wink its gone, gone forever,
In a flick it's all over and far out;
In momentary lapse of the sever,
The death knell sounds a shout.
Its over and then there is no time,
To pay tribute, to enjoy laughter;
New canvas for promised rhyme,
Delivers the promise of hereafter.
In that space of black and white,
You have to wait for new brush;
To paint another life with might,
Towards another stream to rush.
So while it lasts, enjoy, make hay,
Keep away from hatred and scoff;
Cling to love, enrich the new day,
In the fleeting moments of time off.
