Dedicated to my precious little girl.
An arrival of such a special child,
During the middle of an Autumn wild.
A tiny joy that paused my heart,
A part of me right from the start.
Time.
I watched you grow from small to tall,
Even the day I saw you crawl.
Pleasant memories that cause a stir,
As the time passed with such a blur.
Time.
Cheerleading, basketball, and the prom,
We watched you grow, me and your mom.
But, it's all so clear in my mind,
Memories of you that are so kind.
Time.
All grown up, now a lady,
Now you’re expecting a tiny baby.
Over time, we have been so far apart,
But, you’re always near, in my heart.
Time.
You need to know, I am so proud,
I say it so and always aloud.
Please know, you have your father’s love,
You are the gift from the skies above.
