Three Suspects Sought in Lindsay Lohan Burglary
Police are searching for three suspects, one man and two women between the ages of 18 and 25, who broke into Lindsay Lohan's home and stole personal belongings over the weekend.
Lindsay Lohan seems to think she knows who broke into her home while she and her sister were out of town. She recently tweeted that some of the things that were taken were "things that a certain old friend knew meant a lot to me". The three suspects were captured on surveillance video as they entered Lohan's home through an unlocked door at about 1:15 AM on Sunday. All three were aware of the surveillance cameras and used scarves to cover their faces.
There is no word yet on exactly what was stolen, but it appears that many of the items were Lindsay's personal effects and that the inside job may have been as much about hurting her as stealing her possessions. It's difficult to envision friends of hers wanting to take the risk to break into her home, considering that such an offense will almost certainly carry jail time.
And with surveillance video, the perpetrators would have to suspect that they would be identified by Lohan - or by some other friend who may eventually see the tape. And beyond that, what could they possibly want with Lohan's belongings. They can't sell them and they probably will have to hide or destroy them in order to avoid being caught with them. Unless there is something of specific value or that could be especially damaging to Lohan - like a sex tape - there really doesn't seem to be any logical explanation as to why anyone would commit this crime.
