Three Rules for Polite Cell Phone Use

The arrival of wholesale cell phones has made this state-of-the-art telecommunication method affordable, readily obtainable and by now, ever-present. That prominence requires attention to the issue of cell phone decorum: what are the criteria for appropriate cell phone use? The following are three "musts" for making wholesale cell phone usage trouble-free.

First, do not answer a cell phone in the middle of a conversation with another person or in a group. Although some people, especially today's youth, have a high tolerance for doing more than one thing at once, talking over one another, and redirecting attention from the people at hand, in ordinary business and social situations, picking up a cell phone and interrupting the current conversation is rude. Cell phone wholesalers offer models of the product with various options that can avoid the problem: buy a cell phone and a service that can record messages; ensure that you have caller i.d. and a way to track "missed calls"; and be able to silence the ringer so you can ignore it. And don't think that text messaging is all right because it is quiet – you are still disregarding the real life discussion that you are having.

Two, keep your voice down. What is it about cell phones that lets people think they can or have to be so uproarious? The other people in the pizza place or theater or book shop just do not want to overhear your conversation about your aunt's surgery or disastrous social outings. Even if you utilize a low-priced wholesale cell phone, that doesn't mean you are burdened by poor sound quality – to the contrary, your caller will hear you just fine and if not, give up and make the call from a new place or at some other time where signal and sound quality are better.

Third, hang up when you are supposed to be engaged in some other activity. What is more maddening than being imprisoned in a retail store check-out line while some clown in front of the line fumbles with their merchandise, proceeds at their leisure, and pays no attention to the cashier because they are conversing on their cell phone or texting like crazy? Likewise, the entire subject of talking on a cell phone while driving a car is disputed, but cell phone wholesalers recommend at least the use of a microphone and ear piece while driving or engaged in other jobs that ideally require use of both hands and focused concentration.

Cell phone civility is truly a matter of good sense. Talk and text with your cell phone in appropriate situations and with utmost respect for privacy and the concerns of people around you. Then you can get the most out of the great features of this fabulous high-tech gadget, without guilt!
