This Poem
I wrote this awhile ago and just now found it again.. .. .. About pretending to be happy when you want to die..
This smile –
It is not real, just a mask;
So people won’t ask questions.
This smile, it hides my pain.
This laugh –
It goes along with the smile, sounds real,
As I laugh along with you.
This laugh, it stifles cries.
My tears –
Flowing unchecked in the night.
But you’ll see none, not a one.
My tears, only I know
My pain –
Hidden deep within my heart,
Still it hurts, so bad sometimes.
My pain, watch the blood run.
This poem –
Hidden well, it won’t be found.
It’s a plea, if I show you,
This poem, a call for help!
It is not real, just a mask;
