This Is My Hell

You never cared, but I sat in the shadows, watching to make sure you were okay, and I failed you...
Hell is in living
And watching you scream
Hell is in waiting
It’s an eternal dream
The pain of watching
You slowly slip away
The pain of begging
And asking you to stay
As your blood drips down
In a bright red river
You try to stay warm
You shake and you shiver
You say you’re not scared
You’re not afraid to die
Give me a reason
Tell me why
What’s wrong with living?
Even if life’s not fair
At least we know you tried
At least you know we care
There’s no return
It’s too late now
Life defeated you
Can you tell me how?
