In the dead of night
Or the light of day
It creeps up
A heavy, dark, smothering fog
It can come at any time
When you’re in a crowd
Or alone
This cursed feeling
This feeling is the worst type
A sudden realization
That you’re all alone
Even when you’re in a crowd
The realization
That nobody cares
It’s all just an act
You are all alone
Don’t tell anyone of this feeling
They won’t understand
They will slowly pull away
Leaving you alone
It’s the worst feeling in the whole world
Knowing you are all alone
Completely, utterly, totally,
Beyond a shadow of a doubt - alone.
