Thinking About You

Why do I spend day and night thinking about you?
Why do I sit here and write pointless poems?
I sculpt your face with my thoughts,
While my eyes record every detail of your smile.
My heart is pierced by pain every time I’m alone,
That's when I think of you the most.
I've had crazy thoughts of telling you,
But I’m deeply aware that I can't,
I could never.
If I did, I could never look at you again.
I've had dreams where I so much as touch your hand,
When I wake up, I wish it were all true.
I wish you'd be lying next to me and you,
Contemplating your image.
I bet you know,
I bet you can see it in my eyes,
I know you can hear it in my voice.
Why do I f*cking love you so much?
