You can write a message occupying an entire page, which says," Don’t you hate when people take up the whole page?" Or you can say, "I am a clown, who came to town to paint your yearbook up and down!" To give it a playful touch, you can say, "You are so lucky to meet me this year". You may say, "Good luck next year...if you make it!"
You can keep your yearbook message simple, if you like it that way. Bid a simple goodbye and thank your friend for the time you spent with him/her. You can say, "Hope you have a wonderful summer, Can't wait to see you next year." Or simply say, "Keep in touch." You can just wish your friend luck and happiness to keep your message short and sweet.
A joke, a memory that makes you laugh can add humor to your yearbook message. Giving your message a tinge of humor will make your friend remember you with a smile. You can make a note of some funny incident during that year or an experience you have shared with the friend. Recall some event that can make him/her cheer up. This will keep your writing original and personalized.
Affix your name to your message. Do not forget to sign the message along with your phone number and email id so that your friend can get in touch with you. Mention your full name below your message so that your friend may easily remember you years later. Give it a creative touch by using color pens; drawing small pictures and making your message look attractive. Most importantly, write in a legible handwriting. Use of creativity in writing the yearbook message shows your interest in writing for your friend's yearbook. Remember, the book is going to serve as a treasure-trove of memories.
Don’t forget that your message is going to be read by the other classmates. So avoid talking about teachers or fellow classmates. Do not talk about the negatives and avoid hurting anyone’s feelings. After all, moments are remembered, not days!
