Moving in.
"Look!, if it isn't Chloe the freebie", hollered the girl who was a few steps up the aisle in the supermarket. She instantly recognized her as Monique Morell, the popular girl in high school who used to bitch her around like a dog with her lap dog friends, Ashley and Jennifer.
"Wow, if it isn't M.M., the popular Alyssa Milano wannabe", Chloe had herself retort and she couldn't hide that she had felt some of the dread she felt in high school coming back at least until Dan had found her and held her hand daring Monique to throw in a few insults but she didn't.
Chloe turned her full attention to Monique who was standing wide-eyed staring at Dan who stared back with a look that said not-bitching-now-are-we. Everywhere Chloe went, she was sure all the girls wanted to kill her for walking by Dan's side.
"I see you got yourself a hottie and I would like to happily fight for him so watch out for the sexy ones like us because you are like so 'not' and this guy here doesn't deserve you", Monique was saying to her.
Chloe couldn't say anything because from what she was wearing, she could totally see Monique's point but anyway Monique was judging by the ill-fitting clothes. Dan wasn't the type of guy to wait and see Chloe being thrown around that he immediately went to her rescue.
"Oh you cheeky bitch !, do you honestly think I would fall for that disgusting skinny body of yours let alone be a boyfriend to my sister here?", Dan spat out the words with deadly venom that made Monique back off.
"Wha- . You. Hot. Brother. That is impossible. You are only nuns in your family, bitch and you all have got the unsexy gene in it", Monique said vehemently.
Chloe replied with calmness from Monique's surprise," well, Monee, there is a high school reunion party tonight, why don't we check out what you mean by unsexy then? Ciao".
Chloe and Dan pushed past (the moniqettes) and went on to the check out with two full trolleys leaving them drooling in his wake.

The west high reunion party was not something Chloe looked forward to but, she had to do it for her own satisfaction with Jake and Dan on her both sides as her dates, what else could go wrong?.
With the help of her elder sister's fashion assistants, Chloe looked like something out of a movie. When she came downstairs an hour before the party, everyone goggled at her and she started to feel the self-consciousness creeping up her neck. Cot and Claire turned their attention to somewhere else but Jake and Dan made a mighty job of creeping her out with their stares.
"Ok guys, guys, will you just stop staring already?, Chloe said to them but no point was taken they sure were distracted by her. Then an idea came to Chloe and in a flash she was out of the car back into the house. She ran upstairs and picked up her big fur coat and wriggled into it and a flash later, she was in the back of Jake's black Saab.
"Why the hell did you spoil the lo-?, Dan didn't finish the sentence because he already knew the purpose of the coat and by the glint in Chloe's eyes he was damn sure it would wind Monique up so he just said, "great idea Chloe, way to go!" as they high-fived each other.
Chloe made a dramatic entrance at the party coming in fifteen minutes fashionably late and a waiter took her coat only to reveal a very sexy Chloe wearing a luminous dress. Everyone went quiet seeing Chloe but the cameras were clicking away at her at top speed. To add up to it, Dan and Jake who looked mighty handsome and hot came in shortly behind her and took both her hands hooking them over theirs and went on silently.
Chloe would have sworn that she saw girls who had boyfriends with them mouth to each other checking Jake and Dan. Chloe had never felt or given such attention like that especially when she won the award for the best dress, the look on Monique's face was priceless.
Even her high school haters, had an ounce of respect for her now and one thing for a fact is that haters always have a certain respect when their punchball is no longer a toy. Oh well things change, don't they?
This is the best party ever.
Chloe introduced Dan and Jake as her cousins at the party.

Chloe had taken care not to get drunk at the party so she was still in good shape but to her horror, Jake and Dan weren't so she was the one driving.
Having made it to the manor alive, Chloe made a job of pushing and pulling Jake and Dan into the house while Cot and Claire laughed at her feeble attempts to move the muscular brothers. really guys!!!!!!
Chloe was in good spirits to argue with them so she just left them on the doorstep and went to her room.
The next morning, she opened her door to see Jake and Dan with arms folded on her door in a warrior like sort of way and they said in unison, "really Chloe?"
"What?! it's not my fault you drank your selves to sleep at the doorstep, I couldn't move you because I am the mighty woman while you are the fragile men", Chloe said putting fragile in a quotes and with that she left them standing at the door.
Chloe went into the kitchen and had coffee with Cot who was an early riser, she told her of her award and Cot hadn't been surprised as Chloe had looked very pretty or let's say too pretty for her own good.
