There Is A Child In You

Notice how children are simply the purest part of you. Turning back to child-like innocence is the answer to all our woes. There is a broad chasm between 'childish' and 'child-like'. Explore...
If you will only take the time,
To look deep within and see;
Your heart still pops at rhyme,
And yearns for treats at tea.

Never shed that child within,
He is there that you can grow;
To explore the world and win,
And a legacy of love bestow.

Call out to the hidden child,
Wandering in frivolous glee;
Unconditioned, untamed, wild,
Before it is time to turn, flee.

"And flee from what?", you ask,
Well, from ignorance and blind;
Drawn upon false earthly mask,
Veiling the whole lot of mankind.

The child within is your root,
He is there that you can stem;
To branch out in flowery fruit,
Distrust and hate to condemn.
