There is a Chance I Love You - Part 2
Basically nothing happens in this chapter. I just needed to fill space. I promise next time it will be better.
He had been sitting in old chair outside the nurse's office, for at least half an hour, but there was no clock in view. He knew he would be in trouble, big trouble, but he waited quietly as the only lady in room feverishly pecked the keyboard. The clock seemed to be ticking at a very slow pace.
"You... Boy." Said the lady. She waited.
"Who, me?" He asked, looking around the room.
"Who else?" She grunted. Then she held out a folder and he took it. "In there."
He walked into a small office and sat in a chair in front of a desk. It had a name tag that said Principal Withers, and a bunch of stacks of papers and files. He was about to start looking through these folders when a man came in the room. He wore a suit and had a grim look on his face.
"Daren Withers." Said the man as he held out his hand.
"Noble Thomas." Noble shook his hand and handed him the folder.
"Ah. A so-called trouble maker, " He said looking inside, "Well, you won't be for long. Shall we discuss your schedule?"
Noble looked up, surprised. "What, no punishment?"
"No, I believe in a fresh start. So your schedule. Each class is 52 minutes long, and you have seven classes, in this order, English, Math, Science, History, P.E., Home EC, and Spanish."
"Okay. Bye then..." and Noble walked out of the room, and traveled down the stairs.' Why is this place so big?' he thought. Looking around the hallways were twice the size they were when they were full of kids rushing to their class.
He looked down at his paper and saw a map and a number; 72, followed by a series of numbers. He guessed that was his locker, so he started making his way towards 72 on the map.
It seemed that it had taken forever to get to his locker, but when he looked up it had only been five minutes. 'Oh well.' He thought to himself. After several feeble attempts, he heard footsteps behind him. He didn't really care who it was, so he kept working on the locker. Just when he was about to give up, the footsteps stopped and he could feel someone stare at him. This followed by a groan and a, "Oh not you."
Noble turned around faster than he had ever in his life. It was the same voice from the morning, and the same face too. All he could think of was, "You know you're not that pleasant to see either."
She looked angry; more angry than this morning anyway. She wrinkled her nose, and glared at him intensely. Than for some reason she walked over to the locker next to his. Only after she opened the locker, did he understand. Alexis stared at him then said, "Welcome to hell."
"Nice to see you, too!" he shouted as the bell rang for the class to end. He smiled and started walking off to his next class, which just so happened to Math, room 2B.
