The Wrong Side of the Track Ch.9

"Does this have anything to do with the trip" Derek asked
"Yes, I just can’t believe they’re not gonna be here for my birthday"
"It’ll be alright I know I’m no substitute but I promise to make your birthday the best"

I gave Derek a hug and he gave me a kiss on the forehead

"Thank you D"
"no problem sweetheart hey why don’t we hang out tomorrow"
"I have detention then I kind of have a date but what about after that"
"I have an idea are parents are taking a red eye flight at 2 am how about we take them spend some time together then"
"How do you know when their flights leaving"
"I already knew my mom has been talking about it for a week now"
"Oh ha-ha ok let’s do it"

We ran downstairs and told our parents the plan they though it was a great idea. The garason’s went home grabbed all their bags and stayed in the other guest room next to Derek’s and his was across the hall from mine. I had done so much crying today I fell straight asleep. At midnight Derek came in and woke me up then he woke our parents. Between my mom’s and Derek’s mom’s luggage we had to take the hummer. I hated this car it was very bad for the environment. When we got to the airport it we gave our parents hugs and kisses and they went to their gate. I and Derek got back in the car he was driving.

"So why do you have detention tomorrow" Derek questioned
"My friend keep talking to me during class and the teacher got annoyed and gave us both detention" I replied
"Ah I see what was so important you keep talking in class"
"She was talking to me and she wanted to hear about my night with Tony"
"Is that your boyfriend" he shyly asked
"Ex-boyfriend he broke up with me the other day"
"His lose so if you don’t have a boyfriend who are you going on a date with"
"This guy named Marcus"
"So how did you meet Marcus"
"It’s a long story that involves a tree ha-ha but enough about me how are you how’s school"
"Senior year can’t complain its going well"
"Yeah so do you have a special someone?"
"Uh yeah you know we been dating for a while now"

we keep talking until I feel asleep when I woke up I was in my room. I walked across the hall and peeked in Derek’s room he must have carried me in. he was asleep now I snuck in his room and gave him a kiss and started getting ready for detention. I decided to go dressy casual so I’d be ready for my date. I wore a dark blue halter dress and a black mini jacket over it with black flip-flops. I pulled my hair back in a ponytail since I’m already dressed I’ll just come home do my hair and spend some time with Derek. I drove to detention so that I can get home faster. When I got to detention Katie was already there we walked into the library where Saturday detention was held. When we entered I immediately noticed Dawson was there and next to Dawson was my worse nightmare ….. Tony.
