The Wrong Side of the Track Ch.3

As the bell rang I just sat there and watched him exit the classroom. After a few minutes of composing myself I got up and exited the class. Katie was waving to me from down the hall she ran up to me and gave me a hug.
"Audrey I think we should go to your house and start phase 1 right away" Katie said
"Of what" I asked
"Of getting over a break up duh"
"Katie I’m perfectly fine"
"That’s what you say Audrey but I know deep down your crying inside"

We finally reached the outside of the school and I headed towards the parking lot. I hadn’t decided if I was just gonna hop in my car and go or meet the guy. I did kinda need to thank him for helping me with tony but-.

"Hello Audrey where are you going" Katie exclaimed

Katie snapped me out of my thoughts

"Oh ummm I drove to school today"
"Excellent we can get home faster to start phase 1"

Even though I was completely against the break up recovery thing my curiosity got the best of me.

"What is phase 1 anyway" I asked
"I’m glad you asked it’s called TV, tub, and talking"
"Tub?"
"Tub of ice cream duh see you watch TV, eat ice cream, and talk all with your best friend me."
"Uh, I’m gonna have to say no to the whole phase 1 thing I’ve got something to do"

I saw the guy standing in the far area of the parking lot. I decided I would go just because he really helped me earlier. It had nothing to do with the fact that he was the single hottest guy I’ve ever seen ok maybe it did.

"Oh really like what huh what could be more important than spending the evening with your best friend while getting over your ex!"
"Katie I’m over him I really got to do something"
"Okay I’m coming with you"
"Oh no I got to go by myself"
"Okay I’ll let you go if you do phase 1 with me"
"Fine Katie I’ll do it but I have to go"
"Great I’ll wait in the car"

I tossed Katie the keys and walked in strides towards the guy. The closer I got the more I wanted to turn around until I was standing right in front of him then I wanted to run. He stood against one of the prettiest motorcycle I’ve ever seen it was a black and red Ducati. I’ve always wanted a motorcycle but my parents said they were to dangerous. My eyes rose from the motorcycle to him.

"She’s hot huh "he said
"What" I asked
"The bike"
"Oh yeah"

I really wanted to say not as hot as you but I thought that was to weird. But he did look hot he had on some black baggy jeans with a dark blue G-unit zip up hoodie with a black shirt under it and dark blue shoes.

"I’m surprised you came"
"Well uh I just wanted to say thank you for earlier with that whole situation in the office-"I started to ramble when he cut me off
"Ain’t nothing shawty it’s how I was raised a man should never lay a hand on a female"
"Well again thank you you really didn’t have to but uh don’t take me wrong I’m glad you did but I could have handled myself uh wow I sound completely ungrateful"
"Damn shawty you always go on like this"

I was very upset by his comment I was just a little nervous.

"Well then I’ll be leaving now" I said
"Hold on I ain’t mean nothing by that shawty I just got a question for ya"
"Well I really need to get going so again thank you" I said still a little upset at his rudeness

I started to walk towards my car in a calm cool and collective manner.

"Well if you really wanna thank me you should let me take you out" he said

I turned around to look at him in complete shock

"So how bout it shawty"
"Umm well I really don’t think so I’m kind of busy and I just got out of a thing with someone and its just really bad timing"

I started to walk again I was half way to my car when he called out again

"I hope you reconsider Ms. Liddel" he shouted
"Ha-ha my name is Audrey" I shouted back
"Well then I hope you reconsider Audrey liddel"
"That’s not fair you know my first and last name but I don’t know either of yours"
"Marcus"
"Well Marcus do you have a last name"

"I guess you’ll have to find out huh"
"And how do I do that"

Stupid question

"At the movies on Saturday"
"I’m sorry I can’t" I said walking backwards towards my car
"Well then I guess I’m just Marcus then Ms. Liddel"
"Fine Saturday but only if you never call me ms. liddel again"
"You got a deal ms. I mean Audrey"

I walked to my car and got in then I watched as he got on his motorcycle and piled out the parking lot nothing could ruin this moment…..I lied Katie could.

"Why are you smiling" Katie asked
"No reason" I answered
"Yea whatever do you have ice cream at home or should we stop at the store"
"Katie can’t we just do this some other day oh I don’t know like during Saturday detention"
"That wasn’t my fault you were being difficult and the teacher’s a bitch"
"Whatever Katie lets do this"
