The Wrong Side of the Track Ch.21

After we finished our ice cream we went to the small lake which we official declared it our spot. We laid there for hours in each others arms unwilling to let the other go. When the sunset Marcus took me home where I found a very depressed Derek.

"Whats wrong" I said as I sat next to him on the couch
"She cheated on me"
"Oh Derek I’m sorry come here" I wrapped him in a warm embrace
"Thank you I’m okay I think I saw it coming"
"what do you mean"
"I knew she was cheating on me but I never thought I’d catch her"
"How’d you know she was cheating on you"
"I keep seeing hicks on her that weren’t from me and stuff like that"
"Derek I’m sorry but if that’s how she’s gonna treat a great guy like you she doesn’t deserve you"
"Thanks I’m over it so……."
"So….what"
"Do you have that Janelle girls number"
"Derek" I gasped jokingly
"What she was hot" I hit him with on of the pillows and we broke out in laughter.
"Ha-ha oh guess what" Derek said
"What" I said trying to control my laughter
"I switching to your school I start on Monday"
"Oh my gosh seriously"
"Yeah I talked about it to my parents and they said if im will to make the commute then I can go" I let out a loud yelp of excitement.
"Derek I can’t believe it"
"Well I refuse to lose my best friend again"
"Best friends just like when we were young"

I gave him a hug and we sat on the couch watching television we both ended up falling asleep on the couch. I woke up around 6 o’ clock realizing it was Monday I began to panic to get ready. I woke Derek up and made him get ready for his first day at our prestige’s school. I finished getting ready around 6:45 and hurried down stairs where Derek was waiting on me. Stupid guys take so little time to get ready while we spend at least a half an hour. We had to drive to school because we didn’t have enough time to walk. Me and Derek walked to my locker where Marcus was waiting for me.

"Hey babe" Marcus said as he gave me a kiss
"Hey Marcus" I replied
"What’s up dawg what you doing here" Marcus asked
"I switched school thought I’d meet cooler people here" Derek replied giving me a wink
"No doubt homie" Marcus replied jokingly
"So.. where’s Janelle" I laughed at this and Marcus gave Derek a curious look
"She don’t go her" Marcus replied as the bell rang
"Well I got to get to class ugh Derek do you think you can find your way to class"
"Little miss perfect afraid to be late" Derek joked
"Yeah she is I’ll show him to his class" Marcus said
"I’m not perfect" I said as I left the two to search for Derek's class

After school me and Marcus struck a plan to get Derek and Janelle together well mostly me but Marcus was OK with it so we went to his grandma’s who had a large lunch prepared for us and invited Janelle to join us. So Marcus I Derek and Janelle all sat around at his grandma’s house for hours, Janelle seemed to be feeling Derek too.
