The Wrong Side of the Track Ch.14

I folded the note and slid it in my notebook and closed my locker.
"Hey Audrey" Marcus said startling me

"Oh my gosh you scared me" I shouted
"Ha-ha I’m sorry"
"Nope, you’ve got to make it up to me"
"And how do I do that"
"Well as my date to the party I kind of want your outfit to match mine so I had this suit picked out and its been paid for I just need you to get fitted for it but I understand if your busy or you don’t want to be-"
Marcus pulled me into a kiss that was just as good as the one last night.
"I love when you ramble like that I’ll do it"
"Are you sure because I don’t want to put any-"
"Audrey I’ll do it it’s no problem me and Janelle was going to chill but I’m sure she’ll understand"
"She can come too"
"Alright then I’ll pick you up at your house around 3ish"
"Ok great"
"Come on let me walk you to class"
Marcus and I walked hand in hand to my first period when we reached my class he gave me a kiss on the forehead and left.

"Guess who’s my date to your party" Katie said
"I don’t know uh your brother" I replied
"You’d like that wouldn’t you no it’s my boyfriend"
"And since when do you have a boyfriend"
"Since Dawson asked me out Sunday night"
"Congratulations Katie"
"Thank you but it’s your party who are you going to take"
"Um well Marcus"
"You can’t take him what will everyone think"
"I don’t care what everyone else thinks I’d rather have him there than those other people"
"Those other people are your friends"
"No they are fakes they’re only my friends because of what their parents can get from my parents"
"What about me amber and tess huh
"Lets face it amber and tess were only my friends to get close to Tony I haven’t seen them since we broke up"
When class started me and Katie stopped talking and tried to focus on the boring lecture our teacher was giving. Instead of paying attention I was doodling Marcus name on my notebook at the end of class when Katie saw it she made a gagging noise. I rolled my eyes at her and we left class and headed towards are next one. As we were walking down the hall Marcus snuck up on me and covered my eyes.
"Guess who"
"Uh Marcus"
"Correct"
"You going to walk me to all my classes"
"Yeah if you want me too"
"I could get use to this"
Marcus as promised walked me to all my classes until 5th came around.

"Uh Marcus I think it’ll be best if I walk to this class by myself’
"Why"
"I think you walking me might upset Tony"
"So let him be upset if I want to walk my- you know what its ok have a nice 5th period"
"Wait you’re what"
"Huh"
"You said if I want to walk my your what"
"Oh nothing see you 6th shawty"
We went our separate ways down the hallway when I reached the office I just stood outside for a while. I still had no idea what to say to Tony but I know it wasn’t going to be yes because I wanted to be with Marcus. And I’m pretty sure Marcus want to be with me cause I think he was going to call me his girlfriend back in the hallway I took a deep breath and walked in the office ready to tell Tony we couldn’t be together.
