The Wrong Side of the Track Ch.11

I saw her as I walked in she looked gorgeous in her blue. As I looked at her I filled with remorse. I was really rude to her when I dropped her off at her house. I mean she’s not my girl so why should I care that she left me to hang out with some other guy. She can say he’s just a friend but by the way he was looking at her there was more there I’m a guy I know that look. She was sitting there with that tony dude by what she told me about him I don’t think she was choosing to sit with him. So I walked over to her and said hi just in case she did wanna get away.

"Well I am so bye" she said to tony

Then that fool tried to step to her with his fist clinched. She stood there with this though face but she got that little twinkle in her eye that showed she was scared just like my mom. I grabbed her by the arm and put myself between her and homeboy. Before he could pop off at the mouth the librarian came in.

"Let’s play truth or dare" Katie said
"Truth or dare Katie?"
"Yes come on everybody I’ll go first Audrey ask me truth or dare"

I don’t know why I played I just wanted to I mean the last time I played truth or dare was in like the 6th grade I thought It’d be fun.

"Okay Marcus I dare you to kiss ….. Katie but not just a peck 30 seconds I’ll keep count."

I could have said no to kissing her but I didn’t even though she was evil and I think she might be racist. But I figured if I kissed her and Audrey looked jealous that meant I wasn’t being played and wasting my time cause she like me too.

"25…26…27…28…29…30"

It didn’t work she looked sad and hurt the last thing I wanted to do was hurt her. The look on her face reminded me of my mom’s after my dad went off on a drunken rampage. I know that Katie chick told that Dawson dude to dare me to kiss her. I tried to prove it but she denied it.

"Okay tony I dare you to kiss Audrey same rules as earlier"

Damn I didn’t see that coming. Even if she won’t admit it I know she still loves him and this kiss might make her realize it. Katie bent over and started whispering in my ear.

"You see them they’re like Cinderella and prince charming they’re meant to be together and we both know her foot will never fit your slipper…..Marcus"
