The Wrong Side of the Track 15

I walked in the office straight to tony and took a deep breath.
"Look tony I-"
"Audrey I wasn’t right to give you such little time"
"Tony"
"No Audrey I want you to give me your answer on Saturday"
"What"
"At your party you can give me your answer then"
"Umm"
"I am still invited aren’t I?"
"Uh sure but tony"
"It’s okay Audrey I understand"

Tony walked to the other side of the office and left me confused. What did he understand, why didn’t I tell him I didn’t want to date him anymore and did I just invite him to my party. I spent most of the class thinking on these questions. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier in my life then when I heard that bell ring. I couldn’t wait to get to my last class of the day and see Marcus. I got to my class and Marcus was in his seat I walked over and sat next to him.

"Hey shawty I’m sorry for blowing up at you back there" he said
"Ain’t no thang"
"Wow"
"What"
"I think we spending to much time together you starting to talk like me"
"Ha-ha shut up"

The bell rang and we stopped laughing, all through class we passed notes back and forth to each other. When the bell rang we packed up and left class together.

"So I’m gonna pick you up at 3 right"
"Yeah, don’t forget to bring Janelle"
"she doesn’t have to come Audrey she won’t mind if I cancel"
"No no I want her to come you’ve meet my friends"
"Alright shawty for you" he gave me a small kiss and we walked outside to the front of the school.
"You sure you don’t want a ride"
"Positive I’m waiting for Katie"
"Well I’m gonna bounce before she show up see you later shawty"
"Bye"
Marcus left and Katie showed up and gave me a little hug.
"What was that for Katie" I asked
"Because I’m sorry okay it’s just gonna take some time for me to get use to you dating one of them" she answered

I rolled my eyes and walked away from her.

"No, Audrey wait you gotta know I’m trying"
"Okay Katie but could you try a little harder cause I really like him"
"Okay for you Audrey"
"You promise"
"I promise" she said Katie isn’t a bad friend just a mislead friend I blame her parents.

When I got home I put on some jeans and a t-shirt and pulled my hair in a ponytail just as I finished getting ready Derek came home.

"Audrey Audrey you home" he screamed
"yeah up here"
"Hey"
"Hey how was your day D"
"Good I went out and did some shopping for someone’s birthday present"
"Really what did you get me?"
"You’ll have to wait to find out so what’s going on"
"Um I’m about to get this suit fitted for Marcus to wear to my party"
"I like Marcus he’s a nice guy and he really likes you"
"Really how can you tell?"
"He has this look in his eyes when he sees you he just lights up. I can tell he has the same feelings for you that I have for jasmine, oh yeah and because he told me ha-ha"
"Ha-ha I really like him too"
"I know and you look great"
"Really because I’m going to meet his best friend and I want her to like me"
"I’m sure she will oh and um can jasmine stay the night"
"Sure"
We heard the door bell ring and started walking down the stairs
"Thanks Audrey and have fun"
"I’m sure you’ll be having fun tonight so no need for me to say it "
"Ha-ha goes answer the door and mind your own business"
I opened the door and Marcus was standing there and I saw Janelle leaning against a black coupe
"Hey Marcus that your car"
"Yup"
"I like it"
"Thank you come on Janelle is waiting to meet you"
"Marcus wait do you think she’ll like me"
"Just be you shawty I’m sure she gone like you"
"Okay"
"You ready"

I just nodded my head and we walked over to Janelle

"Janelle this is-"
"Audrey I know we meet before"
"Hi Janelle"
"Hey girl how you doing"
"Im good nice to meet you again"
"Yup so come on lets go I can’t wait to see Marcus in a suit"
"He doesn’t wear suits often"
"I ain’t seen him in a suit since his mom’s funeral 5 years ago"
"Oh"
"Its okay he not to sensitive about the subject"
"Oh okay"
"Girl I’m surprised he even agreed to do this there’s something special about you"
"You think so"
"Hell yeah I know so well lets go"

Janelle was nicer than I expected she was funny and told me stuff about Marcus I would have never known stuff that made him blush. When we got to the place Marcus hurried and got changed. He looked great in the suit it was black and drawled out the color in his eyes. It was a little big on him because it was first fitted for tony whose a little taller than him but he made it look good.

"Wow, Marcus boy you look fly as hell" Janelle said
"You look great Marcus" he walked up to me
"do I look good enough to kiss" he said
"You definitely look kissable"
"Then show me how good I look"

I leaned in and gave Marcus a kiss it was so passionate we had to stop for air a few seconds in. our lips were in sync that moved with each other I don’t think I’ve ever had a kiss this good from anyone else.

"Excuse me I’m still sitting here" Janelle said
"Ha-ha sorry Janelle" I replied
"Shut up girl" Marcus said to her and playfully hit her
"Excuse me I can start the alternations right now" the tailor said
"I kind of like it the way it is" I said
"Me too" Janelle said
"You heard the ladies" Marcus told the tailor
"Okay sir you can take it off and well prep it for you to take home
"Alright" Marcus went in the changing room and me and Janelle waited for him
"Can I tell you something" I said to Janelle
"Go ‘head"
"I was scared to meet you I was scared you wasn’t gonna like me and then Marcus wouldn’t like me"
"Let me tell you something you’d have to be the first girl Marcus ever liked that I liked"
"That makes me feel a lot better"
"You’re a cool girl but you need to talk more"
"ha-ha okay"
"Don’t worry hanging around me long enough and you will"
"Ha-ah I look forward to it"

Marcus came out and the guy packed up his suit we headed to the car.

"So I was thinking we’d go to like dairy queen or something" Marcus suggested
"You would wanna go to dairy queen, Marcus loves ice cream" Janelle said
"Cool I could go for some ice cream"

We went to dairy queen and Marcus treated all of us to ice cream I got the fudge brownie sundae and so did Janelle. Marcus got there ultimate 5 scoop ice cream sundae which had more stuff on it then I could ever eat. All three of us talked and laughed and had a great time. After Marcus finished his ultimate sundae we got in the car and headed to my house.
"Well Janelle I would love if you’d come to my party" I said
"Of course and I’d would love it if you’d come to mine its on Thursday"
"Cool I can’t wait"
"Ok sorry to break up the bonding but I’d like a little while with her too"
"Bye Audrey"
"Bye Janelle"

Marcus walked me to my door
"So thank you for doing this for me"
"Ain’t no thang shawty I told you that"
"I know I just wanted to really make sure I expressed my gratitude"
Marcus wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a hug and stared into my eyes.
"You showed your gratitude and I want to do Audrey"
"Thank you"
"Good night beautiful"
