The Wrong Girl - Chapter 5 Aaron
Picture of Aaron.

"What the hell am I doing here?"Aaron spoke to the air.
He took out the three bags and... and threw them to the ground as he paid the cab driver.
The cab left but Aaron stood his ground, literally. Aaron stood there outside the "perk cafe" smoking cigarettes like he was in no hurry at all. It's not just that he was in a hurry, he just didn't have an idea about it, and he didn't care.
After about 15 minutes and 4 smoke sticks, he grabbed the bags inside the cafe and once again threw them to the corner.
"Umm, sir you're bags are on my way" a pretty waitress complained.
"Oh I'm sorry" Aaron said as he dragged the bags to the other side so that the waitress could walk easily.
"Oh, it's okay... may I take your order?" she asked obviously liking what she was seeing.
To say that Aaron was good-looking would be an understatement. His gorgeous blue eyes reminded girls of ocean, at least that was what they'd tell him in every first dates. And seriously he was kinda sick of it. All those girls always ended up using him for the short-lived popularity in high schools.
To tell you the truth Aaron was naive. He looked for emotional connection in a relationship and every time he met the wrong girl just like the waitress standing in front of him blushing slightly, flipping her hair.
"Seen that move a hundred times sweety" Aaron laughed silently.
"Oh yeah, get me a black coffee and a snack... anything to your choice" Aaron said with a sweet smile out loud.
"Oh..." the waitress smiled and looked around blushing heavily at the moment " ummm, then that will be a coffee and a cheesecake?"
"Okay... I'd love a cheesecake"
He didn't mean to flirt with the waitress or give her any signals but it came to him like a reflex action. Flirting was his major.
"Major... shit" Aaron kicked the table.
He remembered that he was here because he had joined a damn college "Xavier high".
"Stupid name" Aaron talked to himself once again.
About 5 minutes later, the coffee and the cake arrived. As Aaron had predicted, below the plate was a pretty little slip containing the pretty waitress's number.
He tucked the number to his jeans and paid the bill, left the waitress an enormous tip.
"At least someone's day is made" he sighed as he started towards his new college apartment.
About 15 minutes walk, and he was there.
The 5 bedroom apartment looked like a box from outside, with some dead trees here and there on the outside. He hated the fact that it was brown and looked exactly like the other one and the other one and the other one...
Aaron shook his head as he entered the apartment B25. At least the inside looked better than the outside.
As he closed the door shut, two people came outside from the top floor almost at the same time.
He wasn't in the mood for the lousy hello's and so he ran for the first door he could find.
He entered a room yellow in color, looks nice, he thought. The bed was made and blah, blah.... He threw the poor bag again and sat beside the window pane looking outside waiting for the people making noises outside to go away.
Suddenly the door opened and a hot black (no offense was intended) chick was standing in front of him.
"Whoa... what are you doing here?" she asked almost disgusted to find a guy sitting in the room.
He wanted to retort in the same tone she used but since she was hot, Aaron simply smiled trying to make her feel guilty and stuff.
"This is my room" Aaron smiled again.
"To hell it's not. I had my dibs on this one first. Look chocolate boy, don't mess with my dibs room" she almost threatened.
"Chocolate boy? Was that a compliment? I'm Aaron."
He continued smiling, not sure why. He just couldn't resist a hot girl and with the temper she was showing, He found her even hotter. He handed out his arm, waiting for her to shake it or something but she didn't.
"Okay... look Aaron I was here first, and I went out for like 5 minutes and suddenly you're here. This room is taken."
"No name written on the walls. Besides I like this room."Aaron was obviously teasing the hot-tempered hot chick.
Aaron didn't actually choose this room; he just wanted to avoid the intro part.
'This intro... well I can handle it' he thought.
"What's the matter Nina?" a voice chimed out of nowhere.
Nina? Huh... Nice name.
Nina's eyes grew small and her face reminded Aaron of a cat's face as she said, "Oh nothing, there's an idiot in your room who doesn't want to remove his butt from your window pane"
The other girl must have been outside the door, her voice sounded distant and obviously she didn't hear what Nina had just said. That was for him to hear...
Aaron was smiling, on the verge of laughing as Nina continued to glare at him. What was up with that chick?
"What the hell are you doing Nina?" the other girl asked again.
"I'm staring at the same ol' idiot!!" she yelled to the other girl.
Suddenly a box dropped and loud footsteps running towards the room was heard. A girl... a damn beautiful girl came rushing inside the room and stood in front of Aaron.
Aaron's all joke went out the window, he was suddenly nervous.
The other girl was about the same height as Nina, long brownish black hair; her huge brown eyes were filled with tears and staring directly at Aaron's.
She was looking for something, something in Aaron but she didn't find it coz apparently it wasn't Aaron that she was looking for.
It was like she was looking right at him, but she wasn't actually seeing him. For her the room might even have been empty.
"Elena" Nina's voice was suddenly so caring that Aaron knew he wasn't supposed to be there but he couldn't move. He wanted to know, what the matter was. why was the bossy Nina suddenly so caring? Why was the Elena chick crying? What was she looking for? And why the hell wasn't it him that she was looking for?
The girl called Elena pushed her tears away and faked a smile.
'Such a bad actor' he said to himself.
"So... who's this idiot?" she asked through her fake smile as her real tears flowed freely to her cheeks.
"Ely, it's okay. Umm" Nina eyed Aaron cautiously "let's go"
"No.... I was just messing with you... Nina. You can have the room if you want." Aaron spoke nervously as he picked up his bags.
Elena didn't look at him again. She slowly moved towards the bed and sat down as if to give up.
Aaron wanted to hug her, somehow he wanted to console her. It was the first time he had ever wanted to help someone, to understand someone, to know someone.
"Thank you" Nina whispered to Aaron as she gave him a weak smile.
"It's okay" Aaron smiled back.
As Aaron was about to close the door, he glanced back once again. Nina was on her knees to console her friend but wasn't speaking a word or at least Aaron didn't hear it.
"This was a bad idea Nina. I didn't want to go to college better yet leave my home and live in this box of a house..." Elena said bitterly.
Aaron took a sharp breath in but somehow managed to close the door. He stood there in front of the door and kept staring at it.
This could be the first time Aaron met someone who was actually just like him. Yeah... Aaron wanted to know more about the story of these two girls... and especially about Elena.
Finally after a long time Aaron actually was happy that he came to "Xavier high" and to 'this box of a house' coz he was gonna get to know Elena.
"Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all..." he said to himself and walked upstairs to look for the other room.
