The Wrong Girl - Chapter 2 Nina
An Awesome pic of Nina.

"Ely! You've seriously got to change that voice mail thingy! I mean you bothered to change the security lock number but you can't change that?" Nina's voice rang through the apartment but didn't reach Elena's mind.
"Okay! I know that sounded like a bitchy stuff but come on, I'm right outside this stupid door and I can't even get in! Come on Ely... come open the door! I know you haven't gone anywhere since last week so... OPEN THE DOOR!" Nina didn't even try to quite down.
At the last word, Ely's shook out of her thoughts to present.
"Nina?" her own voice sounded so hoarse to herself.
She cleared her throat and began to get out of her bed as Nina continued to ramble on and on.
"Okay! You don't have to come all the way to the door... just pick up the phone and whisper the magic numbers honey!" she pleaded.
Ely opened the door to her best friend. She didn't need to invite her in; she was already inside the apartment, hugging her into a tight and much-needed embrace.
No words were necessary to be spoken; Elena got all the comfort in the world just by that silent gesture. They stayed in that position for a while and at the beginning, Ely tried to fight it but gradually she gave in. She let her head fall into Nina's shoulder and wept like she had never wept before, like a grieved child, like a love-lost teenager that she actually was.
"Shh-shh... shh..." Nina rocked her sad friend and gently tapped her back trying to get her friend to relax a bit.
"He hasn't called yet Nina! He hasn't... he ... he "Ely stammered through her choked up voice.
"It's okay Ely... it's okay"
"No it's not Nina... it's all, my fault! Everything is my fault. And now I'm alone and he doesn't call... his phone is switched off... he doesn't return any of my voice mail, he's not like that. You know him. He could never go on a day without calling me, and it has been 3 weeks Nina. 3 damn weeks. What.... What should I do? What am I gonna do now Nina? What..." Ely wept bitterly once again.
Nina pulled her best-friend to the sofa and made her sit there.
"Okay... first up, you are not alone , I'm always here for you! And second... it's not your fault Ely. I can't say if it's Evan's fault or not, but it definitely isn't your fault."
Elena denied answering to that. She couldn't find it in her to utter the correct words for anything at the moment anymore.
During that time, Nina went outside and brought four fully loaded bags, all the stuff that Ely needed at the moment and all the stuff that she had ogled up in those days she spent isolated from the society, it was all there in those bags.
Ely watched her best friend as she filled up her fridge and started cleaning up. Ely smiled remembering what Evan used to call her.
"Bossy"
That name suited her best. Nina could get really bossy if she thought she wanted things her way, but it was all the more reason she loved her.
Ely slowly stood up and walked to the kitchen to help her 'Bossy' best friend.
"No!" Nina ordered.
"You go clean yourself up! I need that silky hair back in 15 minutes" she exclaimed.
Unconsciously or consciously Elena moved her hand to her hair. She expected to touch something soft and silky as she was used to but all she found was hair that could easily be mistaken for a broom's end! It was messy, rough and very... very much in the need of a shampoo and a conditioner.
Ely felt ashamed of herself. She was dressed in the same pair of pajamas that she wore... gee... she didn't even remember when she last wore that pajamas or better yet changed them. She touched her skin, it was well... it was different and her eyes were sore and she knew they had found a new companion in those evident dark circles. She eyed her black-edged nails, half jagged edged coz of her own new habit of chewing them off.
And Ely's another new habit showed up round the corner! Her tears were her new habit. As she judged herself disgusting, new set of tears fell across her cheeks.
"Oh c'mon Ely... it's not like I haven't seen you in a mess or something. We've grown up together and you don't need to feel ashamed of being in a mess right now! Coz you're gonna get out of this mess today, since I'm finally here to clean it up! Better late than never so go and get your hair that conditioner!"
Elena sniffed and rubbed her tears away as she put on a small smile in her face and whispered "okay" and she went for the shower that she should have taken weeks ago!
When Elena came out of the bathroom after 45 minutes, the apartment seemed cleaner and weird. All the wrappers and dirty stuff that her eyes had grown accustomed to were gone and outside the apartment were two huge plastic bags full of it.
Ely searched for Nina, and found her just outside the kitchen trying to pick out the wall of the pictures of Ev-ena's memory ride as Nina used to call it.
"NO!" Elena shrieked as she caught Nina's right arm trying to grab the pictures out.
"Ely? What's the matter? I thought...."
"No... don't take them off. "Elena whispered feeling so embarrassed of her helplessness.
"But why? You don't have to torture yourself by looking at those pictures all the time Ely!"
"I don't... I mean... I don't look at them all the time Nina..." she confessed.
"So?" Nina asked gently.
"Just... please." was all Elena could muster up to say.
Nina held Ely's hand encouraging her to speak.
"If you take those pictures off... this place..." she took a ragged breath in "this place will not be my home. This place... doesn't feel like my home any more Nina and the only thing left that seems... that confirms that those 2 years weren't the creation of my hallucination are those... those pictures right there. And I can't... I don't have the strength to part with them yet."
Elena bent her head down and started to nibble her nails again. Nina trying to change the mood said, "Okay! Let them be there for a while. But for now, let's get those nails done! I brought cherry red and black ... which one do you wanna wear?"
"Umm... both! First black then red!" Ely cheered up a bit pushing her new habit away for the moment.
"Great choice I must say" Nina made a face.
They both laughed and caught up on what Nina did for the last month. Nina provided Ely with all the latest gossip about their high school friends who had been out of touch. Suddenly Nina exclaimed taking Ely by surprise.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Your classes at the university start after this weekend!"
"University? Huh? What are you talking about?"
"D'oh! Dude your college!"
"I know what university means! But class? What the hell are you talking about?"
"Well... I thought you knew... Mrs. Parker appointed you to spring classes... that are from Monday." Nina explained slowly.
"Mrs. Parker? Mom? Rachel? Why would she do that?"
"Well I might have filled her head a little bit" Nina confessed rather goofily.
"Filled her head? NINA!! What the hell did you say? Why the hell did you say it? What did you do?" Ely was shocked.
"Well I wanted to go to college with my best friend!" Nina made a face as if it were the most obvious reason in the world!
"NINA!!!" Elena shrieked.
